HP LaserJet P1102w

Review HP's entry-level laser is available with and without a wireless connection. The LaserJet P1102w has one and the asking price reflects this. This is another extended bread loaf-shaped printer, with the main feed tray folding down from the front panel.

Great little printer

Having an older Kodak ESP-7 inkjet printer that was super noisy, this printer is a dream!! Truly effortless setup, fast printing, and love the WiFi capability (my ESP-7's WiFi would never connect to my network).

Excellent low cost laser printer!

I'm not lying when I say I can't think of a single negative thing to say about this printer. It's low cost. The price is just right. Wireless printing is a breeze to set up and use. I use and print from iOS devices, Macs and Windows computers in my home all on this printer. The speed is just fine.
Pros:
  • Easy set up
  • great price
  • aesthetically pleasing
Cons:
  • Can't think of a single negative

I needed a printer that would also make copies from a hard copy. This printer copies only from the computer, so I returned it as soon as I realized this. Overstock.com was very gracious and accommodating, and I was able to return it because I hadn't set it up nor used it.

Impossible to use as a wireless printer

I am a computer professional, and have spent the last two hours trying to setup wireless printing from my Mac and Windows computer. It simply does NOT work. To configure the printer, you have to first hook it up via USB to a computer, then download the printer drivers.

AN AMAZINGLY FAST, LOW-COST TO OPERATE, and EASY TO SETUP PRINTER

Why did we finally switch from InkJet Printers to a laser printer We had used inkjet printers for a long time and we started to get tired of the cost of the inkjet printer cartridges. The price range of the Inkjet cartridges was around $25 each for Black ink and $35 each for the color cartridges.
Pros:
  • Price
  • speed
  • compact
  • easy to setup and it has a Wi-Fi
Cons:
  • I wish they make the color version for this printer

Great little workhorse

I have this printer on my desk at work and it just keeps going and going! I have used it for over a year and like it so much I bought one for home. It doesn't print color or scan or fax (my MFC does that) but its the best for printing pages and pages of text and reports.

HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Wireless Mono Laser Printer CE658A

This is actually the second p1102w I am getting - I still have the previous one (been using it for more than 2 years now - works without any problems) and getting this as a gift for my sister.

"A great little runner!"

Why did I buy it? I have owned a HP printer since I started having a computer at home. I have had an old 1010 HP Laser Jet for 15 years and it is still going strong. I can even get the print cartridge for it still.
Pros:
  • cheap and easy to run
Cons:
  • no colour
