We use this as a combination home and home office unit with a medium-duty cycle of around 2,000 pages per month. It's replacing our old workhorse HP 2840 that finally went to the great HazMat graveyard in Sunland.

Uses Too Much Ink

Canon's range of office inkjet printers is different to most, as it still focuses heavily on photo printing. The Pixma MX895 has a broadly consumer design and features both pigmented and dye-based black inks: one primarily for documents, the other for producing high-quality photos.

It arrived very fast and it's exactly as described. The set up was very easy. I haven't bad much to print yet so I haven't encountered any problems such as paper jam yet. I don't mind the noise that other ppl complained about. For the price I paid, I am pretty satisfied.

I had nothing but problems with my old Lexmark. The HP was plugged in, the instructions on the touchpad were followed and it set itself up without a hiccup. Running costs are lower than other printers I have used and having individual colours means you are not throwing away unused ink. I love it,...

Photos could be sharper

Easy to set up and use. Apple Airprint is great, except that there is no option to print in black and white, it defaults to full colour. Surely this would be an easy software update to make.

This wireless printer works great. Prints a lot faster than my old HP printer. Good speed and print quality. I am so glad that I purchased this one.

An all in one that's a lot more useful than a 'onesie'... and a lot better to look at.

Just recently purchased this printer. Picked it up at a great price, only took a couple of minutes to set up and install on my laptop and the home computer. Love the ability for it to print on both sides saves alot of space and paper, great help for study!
