Like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, the MX895 is a little bit unsure of its true identity. On the one hand, it's a respectable consumer printer, capable of popping out A4 photo prints like your local Harvey Norman. On the other hand, it has a fax machine built in. A fax!

It's tempting to look at a multifunction printer that offers fax and ethernet facilities and conclude that it's a business printer. The Canon Pixma MX895, though, more than almost any other MFP we've seen, caters for everyone.

A low monthly print volume and a slightly high cost per page reduce this laser's overall value, but it's otherwise a strong performer for small businesses with moderate output needs.

Does it do its job? The main points are: are the prints high quality? Is it fast enough? Is it reliable? The print is all three. Then is it affordable. The cost of the printer itself is okay, but per- cost is relatively high since toner is expensive. Other things are good.

Was a breeze to install the software and wireless capabilities; unfortunately; never got to test them

Removed all tape and stickers from printer and began installation; Software installed perfectly, including wireless access; But when I began the hardware installation of inks i noticed a problem.

The HP Photosmart 5520 is an inexpensive multifunction printer that offers built-in duplexing, a touch panel and ePrint capabilities. It also provides reliable and good looking output but it lacks an automatic document feeder and the scanner lid hinge does not float to accomodate thicker items.

I bought this after my old HP printer crapped out. I had some trouble in the beginning with setting up the wi-fi, but quickly figured out it was my wi-fi not my printer. The printer cartridges are super cheap in comparison to other printers.
