HP LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP M175nw

If the HP LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP M175nw ($349.99 direct) had nothing else going for it, it would be interesting just for its price, which lowers the entry-level cost for a color laser multifunction printer (MFP) by just a bit.

Small; Low price; Wired and Wi-Fi connections; Supports HP ePrint and Apple AirPrint for both Wi-Fi and cloud-based wireless printing

Low paper capacity; No duplexer, even as an option.

HP LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP M175a

HP's LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP M175a is a compact colour laser multifunction, but it's slow and expensive when printing colour.

Same black costs as equivalent mono printer; Good quality prints and copies; Low purchase price

Slow colour print; Low-yield cartridges; High running costs

Not worth buying if you want to use it over WiFi.

Not really a good printer.

Less expensive than most model of its category

Still has problems after installing the latest firmware (20131028

HP LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP

Find out more about how we test printers.

The space-saving HP LaserJet Pro 100 serves up professional-quality color documents with three-way network connectivity and cloud printing

Print speeds are slower than average; and the lack of autoduplexing means more time and paper wasted

HP LaserJet Pro 100 M175a review

While most printer manufacturers, such as Epson, seem to be trying to make their business inkjets look more like laser printers, HP appears to be doing it the other way around. The LaserJet Pro 100 closely resembles the Officejet inkjet range, with a curved case and prominent 35-page ADF.

Slowest printer Ever!!! it adjusts for at least 10 seconds between each page. It cleans about every 20 pages. takes 20 seconds just to start printing a page. I have had it for 8 years and it will never die unless I get so frustrated waiting for prints that I smash it. : )~

" Great printer; tough setup "

The printer/copier, are excellent, and the basic setup is easy. The color reproduction is terrific. However, I am using my unit with a Mac and OS 10.6, one of the recommended systems, and the installation instructions are totally inadequate.

Love the way I can print from anywhere and anytime. Ink smears over paper when multiple copies are made or card stock is used. When using card stock paper feeds 2 to 3 at a time through the printer.

Easy To Set Up; Easy To Use; Quiet; Reliable

Slow Operation

Great printer for the price. Print quality is excellent for home use, even photos come out acceptably for school/work use. Also excellent web interface for the printer to keep you up to date on the supply levels. Works well with Windows 8 as well (native drivers).
