HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2

The HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 (starts at $1,269; $1,979 as tested) is a business laptop with a slim, 2-in-1 convertible form factor. It has a multimode hinge, so you can use the keyboard and the screen in various positions, and the laptop delivers an impressive 14 hours of battery life.

Long battery life; Intel Core i7 power; Compact, convertible form factor; Premium construction and design; USB-C with Thunderbolt 3 port and USB 3.0 ports; Windows Hello works with fingerprint reader and IR webcam

512GB SSD and 16GB of RAM make it somewhat pricey; Lacks on-board storage for Active Pen

HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 (Core i5, Full HD) Convertible Review

The HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 is more than a classic business notebook. Due to the 360-degree hinges, this device is extremely flexible and the HP Active Pen enables creativity to run free. The many multimedia functions are another great feature of our test unit.

fancy design; flawless workmanship; very good input devices; good system performance; no CPU throttling; high flexibility due to 360-degree hinges; low energy consumption; very long battery life; pleasantly quiet (often completely silent; extensive security features; viewing-angle stable display; HP...

low display brightness; no NVMe SSD; 256 GB SSD; hardly any possibilities for expansion

A superior rotating 2-in-1 for business, the x360 emphasizes collaboration features, battery life, pen input, and max mobility in a classy 13.3-inch machine you'll be proud to carry.

Business-calling-specific keys; audio features; Superlight design; Full-size ports; Long battery life; plus quick-charge function; Robust performance; in our maxed-out test configuration

Keyboard feels decent and clicky; but slightly shallow; Tinny; low-impact audio for anything but speech

Elitebook x360 1030 G2 review: A business laptop with the lot

It has been a long time since an HP business device made me sit up and take notice, but the latest Elitebook x360 has changed that.

Wide range of usage modes; Variety of input choices; Top design and build quality; Full size ports

Resolution on standard display could be higher; Not the lightest laptop; USB-C power is not a universal wonderland yet

Over promised/Under delivered

I was excited to upgrade to the x360 elitebook from a previous hp spectre G1 360. It has the ports and form factor to make it truly portable without adding too much necessity to carry extra cables. However, this has felt for the most part a down grade. Main issues: 1.

HP EliteBook x360 G2

This machine has a fully flexible hinge, which means the screen can tilt all the way back and beyond, enabling both a space-saving Tent mode and Tablet mode. The hinge is particularly sturdy, though, making it difficult to accidentally induce it tilting back. And yet, pushing it back is very easy.

Attractive design; Lots of security features; Good performance; Decent battery life

Slower SSD on this model; Stylus costs extra in UK

Great product- minus speaker placement?

I've really enjoyed my product so far, but didn't realize (as I ordered online and hadn't gotten a chance to test it in person, which my bad) that the speakers are on the bottom of the laptop and the "bend" of the laptop, where it can reverse.

HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 review

The EliteBook x360 is an excellent workhorse 2-in-1 which is strong in a lot of respects. There are a couple of pain points, but none bad enough to distract us from the sheer quality of this HP laptop.

Excellent value for money; Superb performance and battery life; Attractive optional features

SATA SSD; Proprietary power port

Great Device With A Very Low Value Proposition

-While you could enjoy using this laptop I cannot in good conscience suggest it to others because of how much it costs for how little you are getting out of it. The Asus Zenbook is a far better device with a far better name for about a thousand dollars less.

-Great build quality; It is all aluminum and is a beautiful device; -This device has a great selection of ports which is not something we can take for granted in 2018; Having two usb type A, a single thunderbolt 3, and HDMI ports along with headphone and power jacks you are getting far more than the...

-I have the fully specked out model with an i7, 16gb of ram, 256gb nvme ssd and 4k touch screen display and while that might sound really nice and it is, but it is not worth the $2500 that I spent on it; To clarify I am paying it through my tuition at college.
