Guitar Hero Live

Tracks are banging, the peripheral's bold and performing feels brilliant, but TV mode is a bust, making you rent songs rather than own them outright.

Youre performing to actual people rather than polygons; The new guitar model is authentic and fun to learn; A strong 240+ tracklist

Renting tracks rather than buying them; Fans are fickle; flicking between adoration and outrage; Only 42 of the tracks are set to live-action video

Guitar Hero Live Review

In many ways my experience with can be summed up by the chorus from Faith No More's Epic: "You want it all but you can't have it." No matter how much currency, real or virtual, you pump in, you'll never actually own any of its growing library of songs beyond the 42 included on the disc.

Great controller; GHTV is seriously addictive; Eclectic song library

Superficial career mode; Local multiplayer lacks spark; Can't buy songs

After being out of the limelight for a few years it is time to take center stage again and rock out. Guitar Hero has made its triumphant return with Guitar Hero Live where you get the chance to play at a couple of music festivals as well as participate in GHTV, Guitar Hero's MTV equivalent (MTV like...

Xbox One Review - 'Guitar Hero Live'

It has to take some level of gusto to take a franchise such as Guitar Hero and start over with it. Activision tapped FreeStyleGames to create a new start for the series, which has had its share of highs and lows. The goal was to craft Guitar Hero Live as if none of the previous games existed.

at its best

guitar hero at its best I think that the way they have done this guitar hero compared to all the rest makes a change I like the fact that you have the choice of two ways of playing such as on your own or playing in real time multiplayer online trying to beat other players scores I think it makes it...

"A great evolution to the controller, but lacks the fun of the originals. "
