As a last generation fan of this and its rival "Band" games, I was very keen to see what the new incarnation of the Simon Says plastic peripheral strummer was bringing. It's here with its new plastic smell, but how do things differ to previous releases and, more importantly, is it better than ever?

Clean slate; Nothing legacy is supported; - Felt content will "never be yours"; - No traditional multiplayer; - Not as many 'hits' from big artists as I'd liked at launch; - Tokens and coins can be a grind

Sadly, Rock Band 4 is a much better pick (as is usually the case when arguing Rock Band/Guitar Hero) as this game isn't for parties and the single-player isn't fun either. The only reason I can think of that you'd want this over Rock Band 4 is online multiplayer, but they've added microtransactions...

Game takes a while to get used to! As a player of the previous guitar hero's and playing on expert I thought I'd give this a go and see how it went, I can assure you that even I was struggling with it!

I beat the main story line in a matter of hours which is rather disappointing. The notes or chords as they show up on the TV are for me very hard to tell the difference when playing a song that has a lot of upper and lower changes in it.

This is a must have item! Just a little hard to get the hang of the new buttons but once you have got the hang of them your be rocking out in no time! The range of music is great! If you love music then your love this game!

In this guitar hero reimagined you play in front of real audiences and get reactions based on how you play the campaign is very short with minimal songs but the guitar hero TV option lets you play along to hundreds of music videos which is a nice feature.

One of the keys doesn't work. When we googled the problem, it seems to be fairly common. Will return and hope the next one doesn't have this problem.

Live is a bit more challenging. My boys are GH fans, so, it wasn't too much adjustment.

Only problem I've had is one of the guitar double strums, a fairly common problem from what I've gather through the internet. I'm currently in the process of working with Activision to resolve this issue

Great game! The fret button did stick a bit in the beginning, which according to online reviews is common with this guitar, but that was overall a quick and easy fix. The game itself is great for all ages. My kids love being able to watch the music videos and I really like the good music selection.
