In 2005 Guitar Hero sparked a gaming revolution, filling our heads with wicked riffs and our closets with plastic instruments. The series grew from a single act into a full fledged ensemble in a matter of years, invoking various imitators and spin-offs.
In many ways my experience with can be summed up by the chorus from Faith No More's Epic: "You want it all but you can't have it." No matter how much currency, real or virtual, you pump in, you'll never actually own any of its growing library of songs beyond the 42 included on the disc.
Great controller; GHTV is seriously addictive; Eclectic song library
Superficial career mode; Local multiplayer lacks spark; Can't buy songs
Im glad that i can play this fun game on my Wii U. The Live mode makes you a rock star for the audience and GHTV brings free videos to play 24/7, for me is the best guitar hero.
I have enjoyed playing this game. Even though the live (story) mode is limited, GHTV makes up for it which is a fun, endless streaming service for people to play music. It should remain fun as long as it stays updated.
The game is so-so because of the microtransactions and the lack of tracks but there are some better choices and not as many repeats from previous versions . The controller seems cheaper than previous versions because i had a whammy bar break in a weeks time but it is easier to use than previous one...
See my kid enjoy listening and playing, makes me feel like I buyer the right thing.
This review is for Guitar Hero live on the wii u. The game itself is great for anyone from very your to very old. Be warned though if you have played previous guitar hero games this one is very different. The colour coding system in the past has been replaced.
I really didn't expect much from this game, just the usual Guitar Hero schtick but a little modernized, but what i got was really impressive! What you've learned for years playing this game, throw it away, cause the only thing that is the same in this game is the road of notes you get and even that...
Challenging; Easy to learn; Fun To Play; Good Audio; Multiplayer
Optional microtransactions
