I Really wanted to love Mitsouko as much as I love Shalimar and Vol de Nuit but there is a note or notes in Mitsouko that irritate me and make me nauseous, Im really bumbed as its smells amazing on a collegue.

"Mitsouko - My Favourite Perfume"

I have been using Mitsouko for many years and it is still my favourite perfume. Spraying on Mitsouko immediately makes me feel mysterious, glamorous and sexy. It brings to mind visits to the Far East with all its colours, smells and intrigue.
Pros:
  • Very unusual smell
  • long-lasting
  • mysterious
Cons:
  • Quite expensive
  • possibly a bit heavy for daytime wear

Classic, sexy, sumptuous

This is a beautiful, sensual fragrance that sits close to the body, which makes it a very intimate fragrance as well. It's definitely not a frangrance for everyone. The kind of woman that wears this is not cookie-cutter or obvious in her style. If you like mainstream perfumes, this is NOT for you.
Pros:
  • Long-Lasting
  • Not Overpowering
  • Sensual
Cons:
  • Eau de toilette
  • Edt

I have two bottles of mitsouko: 1. mitsouko extrait, a modern rendition from a 2013 batch, which has gotten decent reviews perhaps due to re-engineered oak moss; 2. mitsouko parfum de toilette, vintage.

Guerlain Mitsouko : Fragrance Review (New and Vintage)

Nevertheless, Mitsouko can be a difficult perfume for someone unaccustomed to the inky bitterness of oakmoss. An integral component of a chypre style of fragrances, moss lends a beautiful bittersweet sensation. Like other grand parfums of its era, Mitsouko is also a temperamental creature.

I LOVE this fragrance!!

I've worn Mitsouko for over 20 years and have received literally hundreds of compliments on it. Because it is so unusual, and usually difficult to find in stores, it has become my 'signature' fragrance. I 'm so glad to find it here because the last time I bought it was in Capri, Italy.

A truly lovely scent that's timeless (but expensive) from Guerlain.

Guerlain of Paris perfumes are world famous - not only for their unique scents but also for their perfumes named after famous places and stories. Certainly, a brilliant marketing technique has been making these perfumes attractive to the ear, long before the customer becomes attracted to the scent.
