Gran Turismo 6 Review

Gran Turismo 6's problems are baggage the series has been carrying since 1997; the second you thunk into a wall at 200 kilometres per hour and drive off scot-free, or hop into a belching V8 that sounds more like a wheezing milkshake maker, the glass shatters and the illusion breaks with it.

Incredible tracks; Impeccable handling; Plenty of racing

Mostly poor audio; Toothless damage

Gran Turismo 6

Gran Turismo 6 rights almost all of the wrongs of its predecessor to deliver one of the most expansive, beautiful and enjoyable racing simulations ever seen. If only the AI and damage modelling were better, this would be the perfect racing game.

Insane amount of top-quality content; Brilliantly fun driving model; Gorgeous visuals with day/night transitions; Loads of racing surfaces and wet weather

Questionable AI and difficulty balancing; Still no meaningful damage modelling

Gran Turismo 6 Review: one of the final swansongs for PS3

GT6 has the most varied and well-executed single player career in the series' history. From the usual races you would expect to more oddball events like the Coffee Breaks, which has events that vary from knocking over cones in an area to trying to do a lap of Suzuka with only 1 litre of fuel.

Excellent car handling; Improved Career Mode; Much faster menus

Car still sound terrible; Noticeable graphical problems; Too many car duplicates

Gran Turismo 6 is beautiful but boring car porn (review)

My first time on the track was a disaster. I hit the wall three times. I spent more time off the track than on it. I even wound up driving the wrong way at one point. My lack of digital driving skills is without question.

Car lovers will find a lot to like in Gran Turismo 6; Polyphony Digital created more than 1,200 vehicles for GT6; They're gorgeously detailed and handle well; A wide range of models from America, Europe, and Asia are here, and they're all unlockable using in-game credits you earn while racing.

Although it has a lot of content, Gran Turismo 6 feels somewhat monotonous fairly quickly; After a while, the tracks and surrounding areas began to suffer from a sense of sameness; This could simply be because I'm not a racing fan and don't get the appeal of driving around in circles without so much...

Gran Turismo 6 Review (PS3)

Gran Turismo has been around for a long time and has always been one of the best racing simulators on the market. The series has a storied history with a vast fan base that has been rewarded time and again with great games that bring hours upon hours of true-to-life racing.

3 Loadouts per car is ingenious; More true-to-life interior views for more Premium cars than GT5; New suspension physics gives the cars a more real life feel and visual affect; Lunar driving is pretty damn cool

More like GT 5.6 than GT6

Simulation, not stimulation.

Gran Turismo 6 can be a wonderful thing. It's hard not to admire its intuitive handling, the obsessive attention to detail, and its steadfast dedication to simulation, even though some of the fun is sucked out in the process.

The best driving physics on consoles; Vast number of tracks and customizable cars; Most of the car models are stunningly detailed; Great variety of events and driving styles to take part in

Predictable and robotic AI; Acquiring the best cars is either a time-consuming grind or a major expense; Dated environments

Gran Turismo 6 Review

Gran Turismo is one of the oldest and most respected names in racing games worldwide, and the final, eventual release of GT5 back in 2010, which felt years too late, was a mixed affair: sure, the graphics were an improvement and the car selection was massive, but other areas like AI and sound seemed...

Drive Me To The Moon | Gran Turismo 6 Review

Driving games come in different varieties, and the Gran Turismo series has brought one of the best realistic-style racing games to the Playstation fan base. With the release of Gran Turismo 6 , fans of the franchise did not have to wait six years for the next installment, as they did with the...

Beautifully detailed cars; GOING TO THE MOON

A few technical issues; Too Much Grinding

Driving In Circles

In some ways GT6 feels like a robust expansion pack, but there are enough general improvements and additions that you'll find this release makes GT5 obsolete. A fine return to form at the tail end of the generation.

Gran Turismo 6 PS3 Review

Players: 1-16 Age Rating: 3+ Other console/handheld formats: N/A The Gran Turismo series has now been on the go for 15 years. The series may not move on in ways that it should, although what it always does offer is a brilliant drive.
