I am a big fan of the Gothic and Risen series. This game is not as good as Gothic 1 or 2, but it is not horrible either. The graphics are nice. I find that I cannot stop playing. Having just finished Oblivion again, I picked up this game and have not been able to put it down.

Enjoyable game but not the greatest story, deffo worth while for people who like this Genre

Arcania is a difficult game to review. For the first few hours of play it took all my will to continue. The camera is wonky, movement feels awkward, and combat is uninspired and repetitive. On top of that the plot and dialogue is cliched.

This is a very good game, i was suprised. the graphics are decent enough and the gameplay is fine. There is a good variety of quests and side quests to keep you entertained.

this is a nice simple rpg game, that has possibility to expand to better itself. i recommend it. the game require more flexibility.

I have never played any previous gothics but i had heard of their superiority over other RPG's. The games graphics are not the best but are playable. The quests are second to one and the world is bigger than oblivion. Some of the voice acting is wooden like Lyrca The witch of the woods !!

When a hapless hero swears vengeance on an evil king for the loss of his pregnant bride-to-be, you'd expect said hero to mention his shoulda-been wife, you know, at least once during the game's 25-hour campaign.

- Half-hearted story design; framerate issues; minor bugs, ? If Arcania sells well, can we get the earlier Gothic games in some sort of Xbox 360 bundle

In a week with the release of Dragon Age: Ultimate Edition and Fallout: New Vegas, I'm reminded that I personally have yet to play either series, not to mention Mass Effect or Elder Scrolls.

You ever get the feeling that a game arrived just a bit too late to the party or maybe was a bit ahead of its time? That does happen every now and then and Arcania: Gothic 4 is one such example.

A lot of people seemed to hate this game, maybe because the beginning really sucks and the story doesn't really evolve until the last 6-7 hours but Arcania: Gothic 4 was still enjoyable despite having a lot of problems.
