Blazing-fast speed and a brilliant camera, all in a futuristic, edge-to-edge design. The Pixel 2 XL is the best Android phone around.

Gorgeous design; Blazing fast performance; Brilliantly reliable camera; Excellent software experience; fast updates; IP67 water-resistant

No headphone jack; Display has blue tint when viewed from sides

Pixel 2 XL review: A.I. magic on a 6-inch display

The Pixel 2 XL is an incredible phone that grafts device experiences to life experience in simple, intuitive and smile-provoking ways.

Pure; glorious; pristine Android Oreo; Amazing camera experience; First phone to receive Google Lens; Beautiful new display and physical design,...

Some key features aren't exclusive; Not a monumental upgrade over original Pixel XL; No headphone jack; no manual camera controls; meh speakers

Google Pixel 2 XL

For the second year running, the larger of the two Pixel devices released by Google is the more enticing. While the Pixel 2 sticks to a familiar blueprint, the Pixel 2 XL takes mimics the , and by slimming down the bezel and extending the display.

Stunning camera; The best version of Android; Minimal bezel; Feels great to hold

Lifeless screen

Google Pixel 2 XL review: The best Android phone you can buy

Amazing camera; super-fast; stock Android software; Google Assistant is consistently useful; unobtrusive

Expensive; no headphone jack; Pixel 2 looks dated; Pixel XL 2 POLED display not as good as OLED

Google Pixel 2 XL review

Despite losing the cherished 3.5mm headphone jack, the Pixel 2 XL makes up for it in spades with a mix of unique and sought-after features like a stellar design, waterproofing, Active Edge and a truly impressive camera.

Smart software that will only get better; Confident design; One of the very best smartphone cameras

No 3.5mm headphone port; Expensive; Poorer screen than last year's model

Review: Google Pixel 2 XL smart phone

When Google launched its Pixel phones at the tail end of 2016, they were very well received. But time moves on, and I've lately been spending a little quality time with the Google Pixel 2 XL. How does it stack up?

Brilliant camera; Excellent performance; Fine screen

Storage not expandable; Not WiDi/Miracast compatible

Google Pixel 2 XL

Buying a Pixel 2 XL may be a little out of your comfort zone, because it isn't sold directly by most carriers. But it's worth it. Verizon sells the 64GB Pixel 2 XL directly for $849.99 or $35.41 per month. But that model has bloatware and a locked bootloader.

Excellent battery life; Terrific low-light camera performance; Elegant Google software; Great build

No headphone jack or microSD card slot; Lacks Band 71 for expanded T-Mobile coverage; Screen quality has caused drama

This is a great computer to bring in your pocket. It takes amazing pictures, great screen which is the interface to an amazing experience. It is durable and has dust and water protection. Is so incredibly pleased. The screen could have been better.

Google Pixel 2 XL review: It doesn't get any more Google than this

Last year, Google set the tone for its smartphone ambitions. The company was going to use manufacturing partners but control the entire product experience. The first Pixel smartphones took impressive photos -- something Googles' phones were never known for -- had a new software experience, and laid...

Impressive camera; Battery life; IP67 rating; Performance

Active Edge is frustrating at times; Portrait Mode needs some work
