Happy I made the switch

Switched over from about a decade of iPhones, was a little nervous at first, but after a couple weeks I'm very satisfied with my decision. I recommend this smartphone, the Android system is a pleasure to operate, very intuitive, and user friendly.

Dreadful battery life. Gets hot in use.

Before buying this, please Google the many reviews by owners saying that the battery drains really quickly since the upgrade to 8.01 and that it gets hot in use. We only discovered this type of review when we had cause to look for it and we discovered these problems within the first hour or so of...

When Google released the Pixel last year, it was taking a stand. No longer would Google hardware be tainted with the brands and logos of other companies, even if behind the scenes, Google still needed help from those same companies to actually build its phones.

Dual front speakers; pure Android experience No headphone jack; smaller Pixel 2 still looks clunky and has mediocre battery life

It's a little disappointing that the Pixel 2 XL's potentially most useful – and exciting – feature isn't fully ready yet but, to be honest, I'm not at all convinced by the phone as a whole anyway.

Google Pixel 2 XL Review: Great software trapped in a mediocre body

Since its inception, Android has served as an affordable alternative to the iPhone. Being open and scalable, Android runs on a variety of hardware. Android portfolio includes budget, mid-range, and premium phones, which is a great thing.

Google Pixel 2 XL review: the best big-screened Android experience yet

There is no question that the Google Pixel 2 XL is the best Android experience money can buy. It is the fastest-feeling, slickest and smoothest Android has ever been, putting it well on par with the quality of iOS.

very fast; long battery life; great screen; squeezable sides; latest version of Android and rapid updates; interesting built-in AI; water resistant; fantastic camera; unlimited photo and video backup

expensive; no expandable storage or removable battery; no headphone jack; no wireless charging

Google ended the year 2017 with two premium flagship devices; Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL, carrying forward its legacy of much appreciated Pixel smartphones. The ever-established fact in the markets has been, the Google Pixel has a great camera performance and guess what, they didn't...

In case you skipped right to the conclusion, here's what you need to know. There aren't a ton of things that separate the Pixel 2 from the Pixel 2 XL, so the model you choose will most likely depend on whether you want a big or small screen.

Best-in-class camera All-day battery life IP67 certified Loud and clear front-facing speakers Easy-to-use and practical Android experience Fluid; quick performance Google is finally good at designing smartphones 64 GB of base storage Active Edge is very useful

The Pixel 2 feels like the lesser option due to large bezels Pixel 2 XL's display feels like a step down from the Pixel XL's No headphone jack No USB Type-C headphones in the box High price tag While useful; Active Edge should have more features

Google Pixel 2 XL review: A solid pure Android phone… as one would expect

The Pixel 2 series is Google's second go at their own branded smartphones. It's been out for a few months now and has since received an update to Android 8.1. Our Google Pixel 2 XL review takes a look at the larger of the two recent smartphones released by the tech giant to see how it stacks up with...

Solidly built smartphone; Clear; crisp screen; Great battery life; Fantastic camera; Stock Android getting more useful functionality; Active edge useful; IP67 rated

Not a fan of the fluorescent orange power button; Fairly stock/bland design; Active edge can't be remapped to other programs
