Awesome!

Had been using the Chromecast 2 for a year or so on a 4K TV. Didn't really miss 4K until this came out! Awesome being able to plug straight into a router too, just to play around less with Wireless noise.

Great home entertainment solution.

No need to use many remotes to manage home. Entertainment, just the chromecast and phone. Useful to play music as well as visual media.

Google Chromecast Ultra review: 4K casting is perfect... yet pointless

Chromecast Ultra is an easy and predictable upgrade and a device that makes complete sense supporting the latest formats for video streaming to your TV. However, unlike the previous two Chromecasts that plugged a gap in your TV's skills, the Chromecast Ultra is likely to step on the toes of features that your TV already offers.

Ultra HD; HDR and Dolby Vision support; Ethernet connection; Simple; Fast; Easy to use; Affordable;

Your smart TV probably offers all these features already; Needs a consistent method for confirming the quality you're viewing;

Google Chromecast (2018) review

The Chromecast is an incredibly neat little gadget that allows you to watch almost all of your favourite steaming and catch-up services. It’s incredibly simple to use, clutter-free and comes with a bargain price tag The omission of Amazon Prime Video is exasperating but inevitable so we can’t really fault Google for that. The lack of a physical remote control will also be divisive. While using your smartphone as a remote is a slick experience, it’s no good if your phone’s battery is dead or you want to have it sitting on your charger while you relax in front of the TV. If you’ve already got the 2nd-gen Chromecast there’s little point in upgrading to the new model. But if you’re a Chromecast rookie or you’re still using the original model, then it’s 30 quid well spent.

Bargain price; Easy setup; Good app selection ; Google Home integration;

No remote ; No Amazon Prime Video app; Voice control is limited;

Google Chromecast Ultra review review

Simple to set up ; Effortless 4K streaming; Casting Chrome tabs to a TV is handy;

Most TVs have in-built 4K streaming; Missing Amazon Instant Video; Expensive;
