God of War III Review (PS3)

Kratos may not like many people but we sure can't help but love him. The ultimate anti-hero is back in God of War III, and dare I say it, he looks better than ever. I was playing through Final Fantasy XIII when God of War III came in the mail.

God of War III is one of the best looking games to date; Improved combat means you'll use all the weapons and have more fun doing so; Epic battles abound; GoW III truly delivers with memorable battles; Every level not only was aesthetically different; they have unique game design; The post-game...

The fear level was dull and self-indulgent, It ended; I was genuinely sad it was over; Kratos, come on, GoW IV..; pretty please, Targeting is still not as tight as other games, The fear level was dull and self-indulgent, It ended; I was genuinely sad it was over; Kratos, come on, GoW IV...

God of War III

It is a fact of the universe that every review of a God of War game is going to have the word "epic" in its opening sentences, and this review is no different. God of War III ($59.99, list, PS3 only) is colossal, bigger-than-life, and redefines the limits of video game scale-it's epic in both...

Epic, breathtaking visuals showcase next-gen console performance; Viscerally satisfying and fun hack-and-slash gameplay.

Doesn't innovate much from previous entries in the series; Mini-games can become annoying or repetitive

God of War III Review

(continued from previous page) ...– R1, which is also used to access save points, or open gates/doors. There were several occasions where the buttons appeared to have a glitch, meaning Kratos would stop trying to open a chest or door. These glitches continued through most of the game.

The combat; combos; and boss battles are by far the best in the series; Lighting is as much a part of the game as the combat; The enormous scale of the environments

The occasional button-trigger glitches; Saying goodbye to the trilogy

God of War III Review

It's a fun feeling when a game causes the player's mouth to involuntarily open in a slack-jawed expression -- hopefully hidden from any outside observer -- as one is caught up in the creativity on display. This occurrence happened numerous times throughout my playthrough of God of War III .

Visual splendor has useful effects on gameplay; Blends all of its best attributes into a stellar experience; Finishes the trilogy on an exceptionally high note

One particularly inappropriate puzzle; Remapped quick time events might frustrate some

God of War III

An immaculate end to a fantastic trilogy. It has been a long time coming, but […]

+ Epic boss fights; + Gorgeous visuals; + Fantastic score; + Excellent level design; + Perfect pacing

Is this the end?..

God of War III

God of War 3 is fantastic, and has at least three scenes that are utterly magnificent. Design and gameplay-wise, it's absolutely stunning. The downside is that it doesn't have that clear cut perfection that its predecessor had; the polish shine that brilliantly lit up our eyes when we first enjoyed...

God of War III Review

Few games are as moment packed as this and four different difficulty settings will keep players coming back for more.

Taking down a Titan one body part at a time is among the greatest action setpieces ever seen

Kratos' motivations and moral compass are wildly inconsistent

God of War III UK Review

Amazingly, it's only been three years since God of War II shattered all preconceptions of what was possible on a then current-gen console. As anyone fortunate enough to get their hands on the still-unreleased-in-Europe God of War Collection will attest, it's not only one of the finest games of the...

God of War HD Accessibility Review

God of War HD is an "as long as it's (kind of) pretty" game. The back-story is that God of War originally came about on the Playstation 2 game console. God of War HD came about as a means of having Kratos' entire story on Sony's current-gen system, the Playstation 3.

God of War III

As I ran home from work with my copy of God of War III (GoW III) in hand, thoughts of not being impressed with the game kept running through my head. Would the game live up to the hype?
