The graphics aren't as pretty when blown up; The animations are a bit sparse a times.

PSP owners will have already seen all there is to see

Two PSP classics get updated for the PS3 Kratos, Kratos. Do we really love him, or just love his adventures? The violence and bloodshed is great on an epic scale, but Kratos himself has always seemed like an annoying shouty emo misery to me.

Two decent action combat games; HD tuning and trophies add some shine; solid combat mechanics return to the fold; Kratos still has his moments of epicness

Not visually fantastic; mainly due to low texture quality; feels like two smaller rip offs of the true Kratos adventures; Chains of Olympus has really had little love; visually and technically

It's nice to have everything in one place, and Sony clearly agrees. After the first God of War HD Collection compiled the first two PS2 Kratos adventures on one shimmering Blu-ray - all the better to sit snugly alongside God of War III on your shelf - here comes another volume of tarted-up Greek...

Most Playstation users are very familiar with Kratos.  The relentless anti-hero has been ubiquitous of late having starred in the truly epic God of War 3 as well as its predecessors, 1 and 2 which had HD versions released on PS3 around the same time.

Well, better late than never I suppose. I never owned the originals on the PS2, but at least I've got myself the re-released versions in their HD glory. Apart from the graphics being updated, the games are exactly the same as the PS2 versions.

However, the one thing that you simply cannot deny is that this collection provides fantastic value for money. 20 notes (or less, shop around people) for two of the greatest games of the previous generation is a bargain not to be sniffed at, well unless you happen to be getting the early trappings...

In my opinion the God of War collection is one of the best game series to hit stores. The story line is like being a character in a popular movie such as any of the Mission Impossible movies or the movie 300. This movie is not for children because it does show a lot of violence and gory graphics.

It is a challenging game for any gamer to enjoy

It would be advised not to play this with children around

i love god of war. i only started playing it with the third edition on the ps3, and because i enjoyed it so much after playing the latest one - ascension i bought this collection aswel as the first two. i highly recommend these collection of games.
