This whole HD remake trend that's been sweeping the world today was started by none other than Kratos himself. Developer Bluepoint Games allowed the new generation of gamers to experience his first two rage induced adventures on the PS3 before they stepped into God of War 3 via the God of War...

I have not rented this but bought it after seeing the reviews of GOW 3. I knew nothing about the games but after playing them I understand why there was such hype for GOW3. GOW1 and 2 both have a great storyline and both have awesome boss battles.

If you like these games, these will not dissappoint! I thought the graphics were going to be really basic like "remastered" God of War collection 1 but they're not. They're good, a must have for fans and people who want to get into the series.

As I finished up my play through of Ghost of Sparta, I realized that I had completed every game in the God of War anthology on one console. This is one of the things I love about this generation...

Let me first start by saying that God of War is, easily, one of the best game series' that I've ever had the chance to play.  Kratos knows how to kick some serious ass, and the fact that he just gets meaner and stronger through each game still gets my blood pumping.

Gods, Greeks, one particularly angry Greek, a few quick time events, red orbs, a sex minigame, jaunts through the underworld, and more blood and violence then you wave at with a bloody stump where a limb used to be.

Two PSP classics get updated for the PS3 Kratos, Kratos. Do we really love him, or just love his adventures? The violence and bloodshed is great on an epic scale, but Kratos himself has always seemed like an annoying shouty emo misery to me.

Two decent action combat games; HD tuning and trophies add some shine; solid combat mechanics return to the fold; Kratos still has his moments of epicness

Not visually fantastic; mainly due to low texture quality; feels like two smaller rip offs of the true Kratos adventures; Chains of Olympus has really had little love; visually and technically

Most Playstation users are very familiar with Kratos.  The relentless anti-hero has been ubiquitous of late having starred in the truly epic God of War 3 as well as its predecessors, 1 and 2 which had HD versions released on PS3 around the same time.
