Worst game of its generation. Overpriced. Far too short. Broken game. Last gens ghostbuters was actually somewhat of a gem so this is a shame. Please dont buy this game.

It's not surprising that Activision has chosen to release a Ghostbusters game right in time for the movie reboot or that it's a four-player cooperative twin-stick shooter. Really, the only thing truly surprising about the game is how clueless it seems to be about its own genre and license.

As I slowly enter the dimly-lit room on the abandoned ship, my P.K.E. meter begins picking up paranormal presences. My ragtag team of rookie Ghostbusters readies their weapons as flaming skulls circle around them and the spirit of the dead captain emerges.

Paul Feig, director of the divisive new Ghostbusters film, has admitted that the maelstrom of negativity that preceded its launch may well have done it a favour in the long run, drawing attention it might not otherwise have received.

Ghostbusters as a couch co-op game is a dream on paper. Unfortunately, the execution from FireForge Games is so lackluster and devoid of quality that publisher Activision should be ashamed in having released it.

Movie tie-in games have a bad reputation and with good reason. Most games based on licensed movies come off as cheap, and a lazy cash grab. This is not to say that ALL movie tie-in games are horrible, but this seems to be a problem that has been around for years.

The catchy signature melody that greets you in the game's menu has us smiling and cautiously nodding along to the beat, little knowing that it would be the first and last time that something even resembling a grin would be seen during the short and abysmal gaming experience that is Ghostbusters .

With the new Ghostbusters film now playing in cinemas, the time is ripe for a new Ghostbusters game. We still remember fondly the 2009 game which had the original cast reprise their roles, in what turned out to be the nearest we got to a Ghostbusters 3 film with the original team.

Who you gonna call? Your local game store for a refund or even quite possibly the psyche ward as you'll need intensive therapy after subjecting yourself to this abomination of a game.
