This product was easy to set up,just the right size to hold in your hand as you run around to find caches. Overall a good product to use with our Primary school children and not too expensive!

The eTrex 10 is small and light and the cost is low. Battery life is excellent. It's waterproof and seems pretty tough too. If you just want a GPS as a backup this is a good choice.
low cost; light; compact; waterproof
small screen
For $ plus free shipping, you really can't go wrong with this little thing. If you don't need detailed maps and all the bells and whistles, this thing will get your location just as accurate as much costlier models (we matched it up with 62s, 30s, etc. and it did just as well).
Great little GPS. Would have been nice to have had more detailed instructions included, but can be downloaded.Cabela's had best price and free shipping at time of my order.Would recommend Cabela's And Etrex 10
Very very basic you can't download maps and you can't expand memory should of looked into it more if I had my time again I'd save for a few more weeks and get a better spec gps
My style of use for a gps is with map and compass. I would take a reading leaving the truck mark it on the map. When returning check location on map, set compass course.. When turning on garmin e-trex 10 the window was satellite and utm reading which was good, but then it only came up with degrees...
This product worked well for a while, now it says it has no memory space. I followed the instructions and deleted every waypoint etc to no avail. Finally I tried a hard reset according to Garmins website which didn't work. Its now a paperweight.
This has been fantastic...good quality and value.
The Garmin eTrex 10 is Garmin's new entry-level unit in the recently updated eTrex series. It offers paperless geocaching, GPS+GLONASS and advanced track navigation, but has a monochrome screen, limited memory and cannot accept detailed maps (although you can see your track and waypoints, as...
If you're a beginner, you'll find the quick startup and owner's manuals woefully inadequate. I had to call Garmin twice just to find out how to get the page that shows me how far I've hiked. I've used a Garmin GPS 60 for years, so I'm not a beginner.
It's relatively simple and not expensive
Thumb stick is too sensitive; it sometimes takes me 8 "presses" to "enter" instead of moving up, down, or sideways
