The eTrex 10 is small and light and the cost is low. Battery life is excellent. It's waterproof and seems pretty tough too. If you just want a GPS as a backup this is a good choice.
low cost; light; compact; waterproof
small screen
For $ plus free shipping, you really can't go wrong with this little thing. If you don't need detailed maps and all the bells and whistles, this thing will get your location just as accurate as much costlier models (we matched it up with 62s, 30s, etc. and it did just as well).
Pros: definitely recommend this product Its very modern, sleek, the it was made of best quality material. Very clear video on screen and app in simple zoom mode nice value for the money we put on this piece Cons: Not any really as far as my feedback is concerned
I use this for my geological mapping for my dissertation. Provides accurate grid references within a couple of metres, I actually found it to plot my position better than the eTrex 20 and it is half the price, only real difference I honestly found between the two is that the etrex 10 is black and...
Great little GPS. Would have been nice to have had more detailed instructions included, but can be downloaded.Cabela's had best price and free shipping at time of my order.Would recommend Cabela's And Etrex 10
Works good, however it really needs a good manual to go with it.
After reviewing
If you're a beginner, you'll find the quick startup and owner's manuals woefully inadequate. I had to call Garmin twice just to find out how to get the page that shows me how far I've hiked. I've used a Garmin GPS 60 for years, so I'm not a beginner.
It's relatively simple and not expensive
Thumb stick is too sensitive; it sometimes takes me 8 "presses" to "enter" instead of moving up, down, or sideways
Item as described. Prompt postage. Good Price
