Garmin Vivosmart

Garmin's Vivosmart activity tracker counts steps, measures sleep, reminds you to move, and sends notifications, including text messages, to your wrist. Its midrange price point makes it an attractive option.

Discreet design; Contains remote controls for music; Vibration alarms and "move" alerts available; Supports push notifications; Measures miles, steps, calories burned, active time, and sleep; Informative, touch-capacitive display; Comfortable; Waterproof

Fixed form factor; Can't interact with notifications (e.g; can't reply to incoming text messages from the bracelet); Steps and mileage seemed slightly inflated in tests

Great watch wrong colour

Watch works really well. Heart rate and other bits on it seem really good so far. Was just a little let down when a black one came when I ordered a purple one

2 attempts to buy one that works joke garmin

The product screen only displays half of the actual display I took it back for an exchange but the replacement has the same problem with the top or bottom of figures writing not being displayed and the blue tooth does not work

Review – Garmin Vivosmart

With the Apple Watch now released, is there still a place in the market for another smartwatch? Garmin's latest entry into the field, the Vivosmart, looks to differentiate itself from Apple's offering by being a fitness tracker with smartphone features, rather than a smartwatch that also happens to...

comfortable design; very long battery life; well implemented activity tracking and notification

companion app doesn't provide much value; text orientation makes longer notifications hard to read

Garmin Vivosmart review

We at Wareable were delighted to hear that Garmin was ready to take another bite of the fitness tracker Apple, when the Garmin Vivosmart was announced back in September at IFA. Hot on the heels of the Sony SmartBand Talk , that was also unveiled at the big tech expo, the Garmin Vivosmart takes the...

Awesome OLED display; Accurate step and distance recording; Slick looking design; Smartwatch notifications

Garmin Vivosmart

The Garmin Vivosmart fitness tracker is smart, capable and very well designed. You can control smartwatch-style notifications, as well as accurately track your steps, calories burned and sleep.

The unique touchscreen is much easier to use than those on many of the other fitness trackers we reviewed

The Vivosmart doesn't keep track of your active daily minutes

Garmin Vivosmart Review

Garmin mixes activity tracking and smart notifications in a fitness band that bridges the gap between step counter and smartwatch.

Sleek; smooth no button design; Touch screen; Smart Notifications; Vibration alerts; Water resistant to 50 meters (5 ATM; Move reminder

OLED display is difficult to see in direct sunlight; Only one alarm; and no way to add more
