Personalising your Vivoactive 3 is free and easy through Garmin's Connect IQ store. Apps, watch faces and widgets of your choice can all be accessed through the store.

More Ways To Track Your Activity

The Vivoactive 3 features 15 preloaded sports apps, giving you the opportunity to monitor a wider range of activities including golf, yoga, walking, and even paddle boarding!

Take It Anywhere

The robust construction of the Vivoactive 3 means you can use your watch pretty much anywhere, including the pool, as livers of an active life would demand.

Keep An Eye On Your Stress

The Vivoactive 3 not only tracks your physical activity - it can also monitor your stress levels through tracking your heart rate variability, and giving you the opportunity to relieve that stress when required.

Garmin vivoactive 3 Review

The biggest complaint that we heard from consumers with the Garmin vivoactive HR was that it looked too much like a sport watch with its boxy design and plastic/silicone materials. Garmin clearly heard the same story and has now totally redesigned the vivoactive 3 with a round face.

Lightweight; sleek design with full-color display + fully waterproof; Activity and sleep tracking + sport tracking + smart features; New Garmin Pay feature for mobile payments; Ambidextrous design for right or left wrist; Increased training features + VO2 Max estimates

Expensive at $300; No native storage for music; Limited app support in Connect IQ; Side Swipe feature is not very helpful; No open water swimming

Garmin's Vívoactive 3 is a more well-rounded GPS smartwatch

The first thing you'll notice about Garmin's new Vívoactive 3 GPS smartwatch is that it's round not square or rectangular like previous Vívoactive models. It's also packed with features, including a heart-rate monitor, 15 built-in indoor and outdoor sports apps and the company's new contactless-payment solution Garmin Pay. Additional free apps, widgets and watch faces can be downloaded via Garmin's Connect IQ store.

The third generation of Garmin's Vívoactive moves to a circular design and has more robust smartwatch capabilities, including Garmin Pay.

Garmin Vivoactive 3 Review

Garmin's recent announcement about three new wearable devices is pretty exciting, even if it's drowned out a little due to the new Fitbit and Apple Watch announcements. But the GPS smartwatch Vivoactive 3 , which is replacing the, um, less aesthetic Vivoactive HR , is worth paying attention to.

Garmin Vivoactive 3 review

The Garmin Vivoactive 3 is one of the tastiest fitness watches we've seen so far. It looks good, isn’t a wrist-dominator, outlasts just about all normal smartwatches and gets you tracking similar to a Fenix 5 at almost half the price. What’s not to like? True offload warriors may want the extra ruggedness of the Fenix 5, and it’s best not to expect too much from the Vivoactive 3’s smartwatch side. It's also a shame that it doesn't store music for you to play during runs. But for sport lovers, the Vivoactive 3's great fitness tracking and battery life will eclipse the lack of smartwatch fluff.

Great exercise tracking; Very good battery life; Contender for smartest Garmin watch yet;

Software not as slick as Wear or Watch OS; Garmin Pay not ready yet; No standalone music playback;

Review: Garmin Vivoactive 3

The Vivoactive series has given us some of the most interesting, and least appreciated, fitness watches going.

Garmin Vivoactive 3 In-Depth Review

Overall, the Vivoactive 3 is a very solid and fitness-focused watch. It's likely the iteration that many folks have been waiting for in terms of a more stylish unit than the Vivoactive HR was in the last version, and more functional than the super-slim original Vivoactive was a few years back.

Garmin Vivoactive 3 review: Serious multi-sport tracking at a sensible price point

In the Vivoactive 3, Garmin has tried to build a device which is predominantly an everyday, normal persons', lifestyle-focused fitness watch. Think of this as more competition for your high-end Fitbit than a "serious running watch for serious runners".

Affordable; Long-lasting battery life; Lightweight design; Versatile and capable of tracking multiple activities; Degree of data detail

Garmin Pay isn't supported in the UK yet; Some connectivity issues; Screen less attractive than Apple/Fitbit competition

Great Fitness Watch!

It was about time for Garmin to enter the market with a touchscreen fitness/smart watch. Tracking is accurate so far. A lot of preloaded activities. You can also create your own. Some improvements can be made in the strength training but I understand is kind of hard to track all exercises in a gym.

Garmin Vivoactive 3 Review: This Apple Watch Rival Wins on Fitness

Garmin makes a range of fitness trackers in varying shapes and sizes for athletes of all stripes. Runners, swimmers, golfers: No matter what form of exercise you prefer, Garmin probably has a device designed to track your activity.

Always-on watch face; Round design; Advanced workout-tracking

Garmin Pay supports few cards at launch; Inaccurate sleep-tracking; No onboard music storage
