Garmin has released the third generation of its adventure GPS watch, the Fenix 3. The Garmin Fenix 3 is all about adventurous, off-the-beaten-path sports. But unlike its predecessors this generation is built even better for the day-to-day runner, cyclist or swimmer.

When it comes to sports tracking, things don't get more action packed than the Garmin Fenix 3. Designed for the person who's not content with a little weekend jogging, it's capable of tracking trail running, skiing, open water swimming and even gym work to name a few.

Fenix 3, Garmin's latest GPS running watch, is the do-it-all watch.It not only tracks your runs, but also records workout statistics whether you are swimming, cycling, skiing or doing the triathlon.

I run, bike, swim, surf, snowboard, paddle, hunt and ride motorcycles. Not only is the Garmin Fenix 3 the first smartwatch capable of keeping up throughout all those activities, but it's also the first to genuinely help me become better at them.

The standalone GPS market just isn't what it used to be, and as such, Garmin has done what any Business 101 graduate would almost certainly suggest: diversify. For the Kansas-based company, that means wearables , wearables, wearables.
