Garmin fenix 3 Sapphire Review

When you're in the great outdoors, it helps to know where you're going and where you've come from. The Garmin fenix 3 Sapphire GPS watch not only tracks a wide range of activities - from skiing to canoeing to hiking - but also has excellent battery life as well as a bevy of sensors that tell you...

Extremely durable; Long battery life; Loaded with sensors; Tracks a wide range of activities; Smartphone notifications

Expensive; Heavy; Many activities don't show up on mobile app

A Serious Athletic Investment

I purchased the Fenix 3 (pronounced Phoenix, little did I know!) to replace a Garmin Forerunner 610. The previous watch was an investment in getting up and over the marathoning hurdle, and was more than capable of meeting all of those needs.

Rugged; Good Value; Simple; Lightweight; Reliable; extreme battery life; forefront of technology

If you have a loved one who is into outdoorsy activities (and I don't mean walking to Waitrose rather than driving), this could be the watch for them, even if they've already embraced such wearable gadgetry.

Garmin Fenix 3 review: worth the money

As a (relatively) young tech journalist, you often find yourself reviewing gadgets that you could never feasibly afford on your salary. It's something you try not to think too much about - you'd go mad if you did.

So far so good

Have the watch for a month, really like it. It takes some time to learn the functionality (which I am still learning) but once you learn how to navigate the menu it's pretty easy to use.

Syncs witj my Samsung S5 no problem

Garmin Fenix 3 is the Hummer of wearables for extreme athletes only

The standalone GPS market just isn't what it used to be, and as such, Garmin has done what any Business 101 graduate would almost certainly suggest: diversify. For the Kansas-based company, that means wearables , wearables, wearables.

Mashable Choice highlights the best of everything we cover, have experienced first-hand and would recommend to others. The Garmin Fenix 3 is a $500 rugged sports watch with almost every sensor imaginable. It's also big and bulky as hell. The color Chroma display offers simple bursts of colors.

Garmin Fenix 3 Watch Review:?The Smartwatch For Outdoor Athletes

I run, bike, swim, surf, snowboard, paddle, hunt and ride motorcycles. Not only is the Garmin Fenix 3 the first smartwatch capable of keeping up throughout all those activities, but it's also the first to genuinely help me become better at them.
