Garmin G3 gps great for the price

Great value has a lot of courses. I checked it with other GPS on vacation this week and it was close to what the cart GPS was with in a yard. You have to change the batteries after 4 rounds so carry extra or buy the rechargeable ones.

Approach G3 Golf GPS

Many negative reviews were concerned with short battery life. I am using Ray O Vac Platinum rechargeable batteries and I get two full rounds. That should work for anyone. This is a great GPS that shows a bright map of the hole with accurate distances. Also, there is no annual fee for maps.

With the Garmin Approach3, you can change the distance to the flag by dragging the pin to the proper location; All of the main features of the hole are indicated with distance from your location.

The display could be a little brighter; but is corrected by just turning the screen from side to side

I haven't tried any other golf GPS other then this unit. It does the job for me. Nice feature it has also is the fact you can keep track of all your round information (club averages, fairways hit, putts) and when you are off the course you can plug it into a computer and read all your score...

Garmin Approach G6 Golf GPS

Garmin has long been a pioneer in the world of GPS products and the Approach G6 is their latest technological innovation. The device locks on to its wide range of support satellites in mere seconds, locating your current course and the tee you're about to play.

If you compare the Garmin G3 golf GPS feature-for-feature with its big brother, the G5 (which costs about $100 more), you'll find just a few differences. The G3 has a 2.6-inch (diagonal) touchscreen, compared with a 3-inch display on the G5.

High performance at a reasonable price; Free 18,000+ golf course database; Rugged and waterproof construction

Screen on the small side; but still does the job; Doesn't track stats such as number of putts; fairways hit
