Fujifilm X-T3

The X-T3 is Fujifilm's new flagship camera in the X-series range and it delivers a major boost in performance at all levels. This is not a step up...more a giant leap!

Performance plus

The Fujifilm X-T3 features the all new X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and X-Processor 4 image processing engine. The X-Processor 4 features a Quad Core CPU, with process speeds three times faster than previous engines. This means super quick autofocus, better accuracy, and enhanced video capabilities.

Real colour and really good photos

The colours you see are the colours the X-T3 captures. That's thanks, again, to the new sensor and processor, which deliver ultra-high image resolving performance, superb colour reproducibility and the fastest processing ever seen in X Series cameras. Meanwhile, the Colour Chrome effect has been introduced to improve colour gradation in shaded areas.

A video virtuoso

Reports suggest the enhanced video capabilities push the X-T3 towards the top of the ladder in the movie making stakes. The camera supports 4K/60p recording, and that's just the start with all sorts of extra features allowing you to shoot in any style. For example, check out the Cinema Film Simulation mode!

New camera, similar body

The X-T3 makes giant strides in performance, but it does look similar to others in the range. The top plate features standard dials for ISO, shutter speed, and exposure compensation, and the rear has a tilting touchscreen. The body includes a microphone and a headphone jack, along with USB-C and micro HDMI-out ports.

Fujifilm X-T3

Fujifilm undoubtedly produced a winning mirrorless digital camera with the X-T3. It is the culmination of years of refinement and careful selection of compromise to deliver one of the most impeccable perform yet.

Excellent retention of details and sharpness; Class-leading dynamic range; Natural image colors; Good automatic white-balance; Sensitive and accurate autofocus; Very fast AF system; Ultra-Sharp EVF; No EVF blackout; Plenty of direct controls; Instant video response; Excellent build quality

Image noise slightly higher than competition; Tendency to blow small highlights; Not Exposure-Priority; Overly complicated control system; Excessive feature interactions; Soft aperture detents With all current XF-mount lenses

Great camera!

Probably the best APS-C camera on the market right now, and a substantial step-up from X-T2. Backed by great Fujifilm glass. I love it. ^_^

Perfect size, Fast/Responsive, Amazing colours

I've had this camera for just over a year now. It's my second Fuji body after switching from Nikon full frame 2.5 years ago. Couldn't ask for a better tool. Used to spend a fair bit of time processing raw images from a D810.

Fujifilm X-T3 review

It’s really hard to find anything bad to say about the Fujifilm X-T3 – it’s just consistently great in so many ways. Fuji’s sensibly not tried to reinvent the wheel here – it will be instantly familiar to anyone who’s used any X-Series cams, from the gorgeous body to the superb manual controls that give you so much control without ever needing to lift your eye from the viewfinder. What it has done, though, is to look at virtually every feature on the X-T2 and upgrade it. Some of these upgrades are relatively minor, such as the fact that you can now lock the eye diopter in place to save it getting knocked out of focus. But many are substantial – the pro-level video options, the high-res EVF, the super-fast autofocus and burst shooting. What you’re left with is an all-round beast of a camera in a small, beautiful form. As APS-C shooters go, it’s the best there is.

Brilliant autofocus; High-res EVF; Excellent 4K video; Beautiful design; Clever manual controls;

Average battery life; LCD screen could be more flexible; No in-body image stabilisation;

Fujifilm X-T3

Fujifilm's new X-Series flagship reaffirms the company's commitment to the APS-C sensor format. With its wealth of professional-standard features and comfortable handling, it makes a powerful argument in favour cropped-sensor cameras.

After the disappointing X-H1, Fujifilm's X-T3 is a fine return to form. The compact, retro, weatherproof body gives it that Fujifilm allure, making it ideal for street and travel photography.

Fujifilm X-T3 review: the do-everything camera

It's just as good at 4K video as it is at still photography

Improved; faster autofocus; Up to 11 fps (mechanical) or 30 fps (electronic) continuous shooting; Powerful 4K video-creation tool; Sharp; fluid EVF is a joy to look through; Usability improvements to buttons and dials; Great-quality images right out of camera

No in-body image stabilization; Rear LCD doesn't flip around for vlogging; Shallow grip isn't the best fit for large hands; Battery life still demands carrying a spare
