Fujifilm FinePix X100V Digital Camera Silver - Brand New review

The biggest complaints we had with the previous X100 series cameras was the lack of a tilting screen, as well as the poor macro performance of the lens. These issues have been completely resolved with the X100V.

Improved lens performance, Excellent image quality, Weather-sealing possible, Tilting 3inch touch-screen, Excellent build quality, High quality optical/electronic viewfinder

Limited video recording times, Weather-sealing not included as standard, Focus not the fastest

Fujifilm X100V review: The most capable prime-lens compact camera, ever

The X100V is an engaging, well-built camera that produces beautiful images, has best-in-class video, excellent autofocus and optional weather-sealing. Meaningful updates like a tilting touchscreen, updated viewfinder and redesigned lens have us largely looking past its imperfections. Assuming you like the 35mm-equivalent focal length, it makes a strong case as a photographer's carry-everywhere compact that's good for all kinds of photography.

Street and documentary photography and videography, environmental portraiture, social snapshots, travel.;

Vlogging, sports and action where longer focal lengths are required, high-res landscape photography;

Fujifilm FinePix X100V Digital Camera Silver - Brand New review

One of our favorite cameras Fujifilm X100V has finally been renewed, and now Fujfilm's small X100 has finally been completed.

Compact and travel-friendly, superb image quality, fast autofocus, 4K video and tiltable touch screen.

Weather proofing requires extra equipment.

Fujifilm X100V review

The perfect compact camera for the smartphone age, the X100V is a great street photography sidekick that takes the series to new heights. Its tilting screen brings some welcome versatility, while the new sensor, autofocus system and viewfinder make it a fun, engaging travel camera. The fixed focal length won't be for everyone and it's relatively pricey, but the X100V is the best premium compact you can buy.

Useful new tilting touchscreen; Improved sensor and autofocus; Higher-resolution EVF than before; Lens produces good sharpness; Now shoots 4K video;

Needs filter for full weather-sealing; Pricey for a fixed lens camera

Fujifilm FinePix X100V Digital Camera Silver - Brand New review

With its fifth generation, the Fujifilm X100V finally fulfils the ambition and promise of the original concept. Since day-one back in 2010 it’s delivered one of Fujifilm’s X-Trans sensors in an attractive compact and retro-styled body with a fixed lens, hybrid viewfinder and virtually silent leaf...

Fujifilm X100V enthusiast compact notably improves on its predecessor

Fixed-lens compact cameras based around APS-C-size sensors have come and gone. But Fujifilm's X100 series has persisted for five generations since it first debuted in 2011, thanks to a combination of a good lens, beautifully-retro-but-functional design and excellent photo quality. With the X100V, it gets some pretty significant and welcome updates inside and out, including a tilting LCD, a lockable ISO dial, better weather sealing, an improved viewfinder, a new version of the 23mm f2 lens and the 4K video and image pipeline -- X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor, X-Processor 4 and more -- of the XPro3.

Visible upgrades like a better viewfinder and tilting LCD join a variety of image-quality and performance enhancements.
