The first five Front Mission games concern themselves with grids, stats and menus; they're about thought, tactics and taking time to perfect your strategy - pretty much everything that Front Mission Evolved is not.

The scope of the video game industry has been evolving dramatically over the last few years. We now have sweeping epics, with storylines that will (well..mostly) resonate with gamers everywhere. One thing hasn't changed though - gamers love big friggin' robots with machine guns.

All told, Front Mission Evolved is a bizarre step for the Front Mission series to take; it will simultaneously alienate longtime fans and fail to attract newcomers. Hardcore devotees of the franchise, or of mechs in general, will probable give it a shot anyway, and they might enjoy some of the...

At first, Front Mission Evolved wasn't that appealing, but after a short while it became quite the surprise. It's a good game with customisable mechanics and a good story. The graphics are good. I do recommend.

Front Mission Evolved casts aside the series' heritage to try its hand at third-person action. The results are less than exciting.

If the multiplayer servers were online i would have happily kept playing, however i only played for 1-2 hrs and uninstalled.

Being a long time fan of the AC series i decided to pick it up since i could get it so cheap; One weak later i find out the multiplayer servers are offline

Purchased this game from another source. The review by other user is wrong. This product does not require 5 GB update. Not sure what version was shipped to that buyer. Total Game files is 10.1GB. 10GB gets installed from disc, only a small patch downloads from 'Steam' and you are ready for action.

I've owned this on the 360 and PC and have not yet been disappointed... aside from the issue of players... the community is rather dead but that shouldn't stop you from enjoying the terrible campaign and possibly meeting up with the community that is still around (like me) and play some multiplayer.
