Frantics Review – The Next Explosive and Quirky PlayLink Title

We've seen the PlayLink function launch last year alongside the games That's You! , Hidden Agenda , and Knowledge is Power covering social, mystery, and quiz-based genres respectively for a party/group setting.

Quirky art style and presentation; Does a good job balancing players; Mostly fun party-style minigames; PlayLink works great

Some mini-games are rather similar or less exciting; Only 15 mini-games

PlayLink titles are all about the social aspect of gaming. They allow players to play and control a party game through their smartphones reducing the need for the PS4 controllers almost completely.

Frantic; fast & fun; Easy to pick up & play; The host is as sly as a fox

WARNING: May reduce your number of friends

What does the fox say - Frantics review

Grab your phone or tablet and get ready to play some minigames in the PS4's newest addition to the Playlink collection: Frantics. As with the other Playlink games, you must download Frantics' companion app in order to play, but it only takes a few moments and you're ready to go.

Goofy; frantic gameplay; Interesting minigames; Extra twists such as secret missions; traps; and auctions

Could use more minigames; Fun for a few parties at a time; but minigames can lose their appeal after awhile

Frantics is a fun party game that makes some smart use of the PlayStation 4's PlayLink feature. While the actual controls sometimes feel a little off, which could be remedied by allowing the use of a DualShock 4 , the gameplay is fun enough that there's no problem just putting up with the phone.

Charming Aesthetics; Fun Mini-Games

Frantics Review

W ell all love our deep, lengthy video game adventures, but sometimes it's more fun to just sick back with a few of your friends and have some quick, meaningless fun. This is where the party game comes in with genre standouts like Mario Party and the various Jackbox Party Pack collections setting...

Frantics

Frantics is the latest entry in Sony's PlayLink series of games, incorporating mobile phones into the gameplay in a manner similar to titles like The Jackbox Party Pack . The games released with PlayLink functionality have been a bit of a mixed bag so far, if we're being honest, with decent ideas...

Great game

Really fun to play with the family and the playlink controls are impressive. Definitely worth a buy as it is relatively cheap.
