Fracture

Once again a shooter, that's what I thought when I was given Fracture. It almost seems like the shooter slice of the market doesn't get saturated. LucasArts, in cooperation with Day 1 Studios, promised us this wouldn't be the thirteenth shooter in a dozen.

First Impressions My reaction is We had some issues approaching this game. In a season filled with AAA titles and empty wallets, the amount of money and time we invest into any game has to be a sound investment.

The Life and Adventures of Jet Brody

is a third-person shooter that tells the story of a tough hombre who makes up for his complete lack of personality and style by having the radical and extreme name . Jet Brody's mission is to kill a bunch of genetically modified transhumans for some reason; I think it has something to do with a big...

Fracture

In the future, you can shoot guns to raise or lower mounds of earth and throw grenades that cause pillars of rock to erupt from the ground. At least, that's the promise of Fracture, the latest third-person shooter from LucasArts.

War game with good premise but just OK delivery.

Parents need to know that there's a ton of shooting here, but there's not much guts and blood. While there's a fair amount of death and killing of the evildoers, the killing has no feeling. It's like shooting ducks in a shooting gallery.

Fracture Review

Fracture is one of those games that you'll want to love but can't. Even more so than LucasArts' other recent next-gen release Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Fracture will dumbfound you with endless moments of greatness followed by even more moments of vein popping annoyance.

Fracture (Xbox 360)

What happened to Fracture? The game sounded like a good idea while it was in production. Once the demo came out I had second thoughts about it; however I still wanted to give it a chance. It turns out the real game is just as bad as the demo.

It's astonishing what we'll be able to do in the future. If popular media is to be believed, skateboards will hover, silver foil will be the new black and we shall all don space marine suits for the nine to five rat race.

Every once in a while, developers set out to create an ambitious, innovative title that stands out amongst the sea of generic video games that assault store shelves every day. We applaud the motivation – even if the end result isn't exactly spectacular – primarily because it takes guts for any...
