In the future, you can shoot guns to raise or lower mounds of earth and throw grenades that cause pillars of rock to erupt from the ground. At least, that's the promise of Fracture, the latest third-person shooter from LucasArts.

Parents need to know that there's a ton of shooting here, but there's not much guts and blood. While there's a fair amount of death and killing of the evildoers, the killing has no feeling. It's like shooting ducks in a shooting gallery.

Fracture is one of those games that you'll want to love but can't. Even more so than LucasArts' other recent next-gen release Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Fracture will dumbfound you with endless moments of greatness followed by even more moments of vein popping annoyance.
