Fractal Design is a company that specializes in the manufacturing of PC Cases, fans, power supplies and even AIO water CPU coolers. With their headquarters in Sweden, they set out to attain the goal of providing functional and efficient products for their customers.

Once out of its cardboard confines, the Core 1100 offers a subtle and very Scandinavian styling that is typical of all Fractal Design cases (as you'd kinda expect being from Sweden).

The case is very good but: 1. The 120mm front intake fan was pre-installed the wrong way round so it was acting as an exhaust fan! 2. FD say to fit the top mounted psu first but I found that it gets in the way, For what its worth I found this the best order: With motherboard on a flat surface: fit...

Very lightweight, hence thin sheet metal, but if that's what you want, it's a great case. However, the motherboard screws (or maybe standoff internal threads) are truly awful quality, hence only 3 stars. Maybe best purchase separate screws if considering purchasing this case.

I bought this as an open box item. Not sure why some one would not want it. It is a stunning case for a Matx / Mitx case. More then adequate for a small case. would even make a nice small gaming rig. The HDD mounting is different, but i like it.

The case has a nice finish on it and looks good. However, the cable management available on this case sucks because there's no window to loop cables through.

This is a no-frills budget case that I'm mostly happy with, but one important thing worth noting is that the mesh strips you see in the front are not the only air path to the intake fan.
