Football Manager 2016 Review

With two new modes and a ton of improvements and additions, Football Manager 2016 is another great entry into an already stellar series.

Create-a-club & Fantasy Draft are great new additions; Incredible attention to detail

Some bugs; Career Mode lacks standout features

Football Manager 2016 Review

As a Derby County fan, you can never be sure what is going to happen from year to year. In the last ten seasons, we've gone from the Championship to the Premier League in an unexpected whirlwind of

Refined experience with clearer layout; 3D matches are really helpful in how you choose or change your tactics; Better than last years in almost every way

Press interactions are superfluous at times; Manager design is appalling; Prozone isn't always needed

As PC Invasion's ‘one who actually likes football', I'm fortunate enough to get the Football Manager 2016 review code tossed my way. When you've reviewed the last few Football Manager titles in a row, you notice that the critiques begin to adopt the same incremental annual update structure as the...

Football Manager 2016 review – match replay

A microscopic improvement on Football Manager 2015, that is as addictive and engrossing as ever but seems to have run out of steam in terms of new ideas.

Prozone stats and better player feedback are welcome; As is Create A Club and Fantasy Draft – even if both still need more work; Less bugs than last year

All of the changes are extremely minor, with no important innovations; The manager editor is hilariously awful, although that's almost a positive

Football Manager 2016 Review

It's been a rough first half to the season at Goodison Park. Everton sit just above the relegation zone, morale is low, and I've all but lost the dressing room. Now the board has summoned me to a meeting and has given the task of gaining 10 points in the next five matches or I lose the job.

Feels a lot more accessible; Injuries have more information; Manages to evoke many emotions; The challenge of keeping players happy is interesting in its own way

Online with strangers can drag

Football Manager 2016

Prepare to sign away the next 6-months of your life

Addictive; in-depth gameplay; Variety of new modes; Less text-heavy interface

Main game is still very slow; Not a huge leap forwards from last year

Football Manager 2016 review – a dangerously accessible return

I t's July and the rotund avatar representing me in Football Manager 2016 is unhappy. Leeds United's pre-season friendly against Dutch side Heracles is going badly. Considering the pounding we've taken, the 1-1 score line is flattering to say the least.

Since a fan&player of this style games since championship manager 92/93, every new year it advanced we arrived FM 16. But, is this the best? Of course no. Since FM14, sigames take control from you and give it to itself. Every new version of the game, your control and given tactics are less and less.
