The most shamefully obvious clone of recent years, but although this copies most of Lemmings’ tricks it falls short in terms of both personality and addictiveness.
The level design; interface; and abilities all work acceptably well and some of the stages are very satisfying to play through.
Despite Lemmings being over two decades old there’s barely any new ideas here at all; Just less interesting puzzles and less endearing protagonists.
In Flockers, you will witness thousands of sheep march to their deaths. You’ll try to stop them of course, but sometimes sheep just don’t have good common sense. The game makes you a shepherd of sorts, responsible for the transport of a flock of sheep from one side of a level to the other.
No matter how far gaming comes or how advanced technology becomes, Lemmings will never die. Well, the concept, anyway; the characters die constantly , in various purposeful and accidental ways, but that’s not the point.
