Fitbit has successfully refined the smartwatch concept, but the lack of usable apps is getting hard to defend
The Fitbit Versa is a good looking and swim proof Smart Watch that keeps you on track to look pretty good yourself, thanks to its health and fitness management features.
The personal Fitbit Dashboard will guide you as you strive to reach your individual goals. Meanwhile, the Fitbit Today feature is a simple way to check daily stats and progress, plus personalised insights and reminders right there on your watch. It's also nice and easy to track the length and quality of your sleep and its different stages, including light, deep and REM sleep.
Female health tracking can be accessed to log periods, track your cycle and gauge ovulation.
There's no need to worry about becoming chair-bound! Regular "Reminders to Move" will gently encourage you to keep up periods of activity during the day.
The Fitbit Versa will lead you through a guided breathing session that's based on your heart rate. While we're talking about matters of the heart, the PurePulse Heart Rate feature tracks all-day heart rate, resting heart rate and heart rate zones during workouts.
With at least 15 exercise modes, including Swim and Run, the Fitbit Versa lets you monitor real-time statistics while you exercise. Personalised dynamic coaching is also available.
Connect to your phone's GPS too see pace and distance during runs or rides. For even more convenience, the Versa can offer more than four days of battery life, store more than 300 songs, and let you shop and run with the Contactless Payment feature.

Fitbit has successfully refined the smartwatch concept, but the lack of usable apps is getting hard to defend
The Versa is better than Fitbit's earlier smartwatches, but it still has issues
Flat; lightweight build; Compatible with iOS and Android; Tracks a wide variety of health / fitness stuff; Four-day battery life
Poor notification support; Swapping bands sucks; No data sharing with Apple Health or Google Fit
Last year, Fitbit came out with its first ‘true' smartwatch, the Fitbit Ionic With Ionic, the company attempted to pack in as many features as it could into the compact frame of a smartwatch.
More affordable than Ionic; Fitbit's most attractive device to date; A fantastic screen; paired with excellent battery life
Even with Fitbit OS 2.0; Notifications are a still an afterthought; No standalone GPS tracking; NFC not included on standard model
Fitbit's new Versa is a cheaper, more comfortable, fitness-focused smartwatch than its model for athletes, the Ionic, but it still can't compare to the Apple Watch.
Really comfortable; Super light; Very bright screen; Superb fitness tracking; Long battery life
No built-in GPS; Bands are difficult to swap; Fitbit OS is still weak; NFC costs extra; Takes forever to change watch faces via app
Fitbit is best known for its fitness trackers including the Charge 2 , Alta and Flex 2 , but over recent years it's also released a string of fitness-orientated smartwatches – slick, stylish wearables that can do much more than just count steps and calories.
Excellent battery life; Detailed sleep analysis; Swim tracking
No built-in GPS
While the Versa is the best Fitbit smartwatch to date, this glorified fitness tracker still has a ways to go to becoming the smartwatch for the masses
Solid battery life; nice display; good set of fitness tracking features
Limited smart features; no built-in GPS; Limited smart features; no built-in GPS
I love my Versa - it's a great fitness tracker that's quite easy to use if you're technologically savvy. Here's the thing though, if you're looking for a fitness tracker first and foremost, and a smart-watch second, then this is the product for you - it combines the two functions wonderfully,...
After two attempts with the Blaze and the Ionic, Fitbit finally made a successful, promising smartwatch. The Versa is what the Blaze should have been from the beginning, but I don't believe Fitbit could have made the Versa if it hadn't developed the Blaze and the Ionic first.
Lightweight design that's water-resistant up to 50 meters; Bold; full-color touchscreen; Good battery life; New Today dashboard makes finding important daily activity info easy; Great sleep tracking; Accessible developer tools with Fitbit Studio; Fitbit OS is growing; albeit slowly; Fitbit mobile...

I demand certain things from a smartwatch, and the Versa nails a few of them perfectly. It's comfortable and has excellent build quality. The square display is bright and legible, and it looks nicer than the rectangular one on the Ionic.
Design Very light and comfortable with an aluminum case; Fitness tracking Best-in-class tracking of steps; workouts; and sleep; Display Sufficiently sharp and very; very bright at 1,000 nits; Protection Water-resistant down to 50 meters; Battery life This watch just keeps going-getting four days on...
Connection The Versa seems to lose connection to my phone randomly for an hour or two at a time, Software and performance The watch software can be sluggish; No button customization and no always-on display option, GPS The Versa doesn't have it, Voice commands Again, the Versa doesn't have it,...
For $200, the Fitbit Versa does offer a lot…. It's not perfect, but a lot of people will like this device.
