Fitbit Versa 2

Fitbit Versa 2 is the second generation of Fitbits popular Versa smartwatch series. It includes several improvements compared to the original Fitbit Versa model. First of all, it features an always-on display. Hence, there's no need to press a button or moving the wrist to turn on the screen. This obviously affects battery life, which has decreased from five days to four days. Secondly, Versa 2 has Amazon's digital assistant Alexa built-in. The user simply asks Alexa to perform certain tasks, and responses can be viewed on the screen. Please note that this smartwatch lacks a speaker, so oral responses aren't possible.

Fitbit Versa 2 Bordeaux/Copper Rose FB507RGRW review

In Versa 2, Fitbit has finally nailed the smartwatch formula, pairing a smooth, responsive OS with appropriately powered hardware. That said, some more apps wouldn't go astray.

Fitbit Versa 2 Review – Progressive Changes Yet Still Affordable

With the smartphone being such a ubiquitous part of everyday life, the less intuitive smartwatch isn't always the ideal replacement for most users. As such, the price of these units isn't always justified.

Price point; Great battery life; Sleep tracking and insights; Internal music storage

Spotify doesn't stream directly; Alexa needs better integration

Fitbit Versa 2 : Just short of greatness

The Fitbit Versa 2 is a worthy upgrade but the lack of GPS holds it back

Looks fantastic; Balanced set of features; The Fitbit app is great;

No built-in GPS; No offline Spotify playback;

Fitbit Versa 2

If you were to buy the Versa 2, you should familiarise yourself with its limits. This is a smartwatch that will help you monitor key aspects of your health, including your heart rate, steps, sleep, and activity.

Does what it does really well; improvement in battery life

No GPS; not really for those looking for a running focussed watch; not really the big improvements people were looking for in the upgrade

Fitbit Versa 2 Bordeaux/Copper Rose FB507RGRW review

The Versa 2 is a solid tracker, now with an enhanced screen and Alexa, but there are better options available at its price

The design has been improved compared with the Versa, with a larger AMOLED screen that you can set to be always-on, and the Fitbit logo removed from the front of the watch; Despite the new screen, the battery life is still good enough that you’ll only have to charge the Versa 2 after two to three...

The screen is not bright enough to see easily when outside, which becomes more of an issue when running or cycling; Spotify support is limited to controlling playback from the app on your phone – you can’t sync playlists to the Versa 2 to play offline.

Fitbit Versa 2 review: The subscription smartwatch

When the Fitbit Versa debuted, it filled a niche for people who wanted smartphone notifications but championed wellness first. It was a good compromise between the two, but didn’t deliver fully in either regard. The Fitbit Versa 2 is even more like a smartwatch than ever before, with Alexa and Spotify integration as well as an AMOLED screen. However, fitness insights come at a cost with Fitbit Premium, a new subscription service. The paywall for more detailed insights leaves much to be desired for data-hungry athletes, but the Versa 2 is still a strong contender in a crowded space. The Versa 2 looks an awful lot like the Pebble Time grew up to be an Apple Watch, albeit slightly wider and missing Apple’s rotating crown. The chamfered edges of the casing offer some distinction, but I couldn’t stop seeing an Apple Watch knock-off every time I looked at the Versa 2. Build quality is better than any knock-off though. It feels solid, lightweight, and well-crafted. The included silicone band ...

Affordable; Multi-day battery life; Native sleep tracking; On-device music storage; Intuitive interface;

Offers few insights (without paying extra); Can’t stream from Spotify; Looks like an Apple Watch knock-off; Alexa is largely useless;

Fitbit Versa 2 Smartwatch

I had the Versa but really wanted the Versa 2 so I could swim with it as well. When I saw the ad price on this, now was the time to upgrade. It's better! Love the apps, seem to have found more of them to use. The band on this model doesn't bother my wrist as the previous one did on occasion.

Item description has wrong info

I bought this because of the 2 band option. The listing said the olive band was in S and L. This is incorrect. The box I received listed the band as only in L. I cannot comment on using it as it is was purchased as a gift.
