Fitbit Sense Lunar White/Gold FB512GLWT review

The Fitbit Sense is about more than just getting in shape—it’s about getting healthy. I get a lot of pitches for gadgets claiming to offer better sleep, health, and fitness, and many of them feel like high-tech snake oil. For every ailment, there seems to be a tech-based solution.

Attractive, Long battery life, Comprehensive fitness/health features

Small app store, No Spotify music storage

I love it! But its not perfect.

This product has helped me stay motivated to exercise. Setting goals and having the watch celebrate when you reach it is so encouraging. Im still have a problem with my water not resetting at midnight.

Fitbit Sense review

For all-round physical and mental health tracking, the Sense is the Fitbit with it all.

Stress tracking; Great design and display; Calls from wrist; Fitbit app;

Non-buckle wrist strap; Some metrics for paying Premium subscribers only;

Fitbit Sense review: An ambitious smartwatch that's getting better with time

The Fitbit Sense adds a whole slew of sensors to the Fitbit lineup to track everything from stress to blood oxygen levels, temperature, sleep and even has an FDA-cleared electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG). On top of all that, the $329 (£299, AU$499) Sense also doubles as a regular smartwatch and fitness tracker. And while the Sense still has fitness at its core, it wants to be your daily wellness coach now, too.

The Sense tracks your stress, temperature, blood oxygen and sleep. But interpreting all this data can be puzzling.

Always-on screen is bright and easy to see; Detailed sleep analysis; ECG is easy to use; Built-in GPS; Google Assistant is versatile;

Stress tracking doesn't tell you much yet; No onboard music storage; Not as responsive or fast as other smartwatches;

Fitbit Sense Lunar White/Gold FB512GLWT review

In the era before modern smartwatches, Fitbit's name became synonymous with wearable fitness trackers. Full-fledged smartwatches have become the norm as consumers have demanded more and more from wearables, and Fitbit stepped in with the Ionic and Versa smartwatches a few years ago.

Display It's sharp enough, gets bright outdoors, and Fitbit does a good job of hiding the bezels; Meaningful Fitbit OS improvements More reliable notifications, better shortcuts, always-on display, and more; Battery The Sense lasts the better part of a week (without always-on display).

Sensors The EDA and SpO2 sensors are annoying to use, and I don't know that I believe the numbers; Music Music storage only with Deezer and Pandora Plus, controlling playback on a phone requires extra steps; The "solid state" button It's so much less easy to use than a real button.
