Wandering the wastes of a post-apocalyptic landscape, no longer demarcated by county or city limits, I fought Kenshiro through packs of thugs, zealot gangs and imperial guards.
The ultraviolent manga series Fist of the North Star is rightfully no stranger to videogame adaptation. It centres on Kenshiro, the successor to a fictional branch of martial arts that can heal physical and psychological wounds.
So what we have here is Fist of the North Star, a game developed by Koei, based off a manga called...well, Fist of the North Star. It centers on a warrior named Kenshiro, who beats the shit out of people and then makes them explode.
There is a wide range of customization options & u can select all sorts of finishing moves. At the end of boss battles, you also "finish them off" by using a series of Shenmue like button combinations.
If you loved the anime, you will love this, loads of old friends. A good rental for a few days and quite easy to start with. Plenty of replay depth too.
Ok, this is a really weird thing, really: the first time I run this game on my x-box, I was surprised by the crappyness of the environment, and the technically very poor development of the game.
