Fun arcade style game.

I bought this game as I'm a fan of the Yakuza series and it is similar, it also reminds me of borderlands with it's visual style and apocalyptic theme. The violence and gore is more humerous than graphic and the fighting is like a mix of the original street fighter and mortal combat arcade machines.

Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise Review – Fantastic, Fun, Familiar

Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise is Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's latest title. For those unfamiliar with the studio, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is Sega's Yakuza developer. As a fan of the Yakuza franchise, Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise immediately piqued my interest, and I was eager to see the...

Corny dialogue; Memorable characters; Fun yet familiar formula

Little innovation; Slow start

Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise

Fist of the North Star - where to begin Some of you might know of this manga/animé series from the 1980s already, as it's infamous for its ultraviolence and fondness of blood and gore.

Fist Of The North Star: Lost Paradise review – you are already dead

Whether it's a failure of marketing or some unconscious national predisposition, of all the major Western countries the UK has always been the least interested in anime and manga.

There's an obvious love for the original anime, with plenty of fan service; Surprisingly varied side quests and an unexpected sense of humour when it comes to mini-games

The combat gets old very quickly; Fractured storytelling relies a lot on familiarity with the source material; Smaller game world than Yakuza and low-tech graphics

Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise

Fist of the North Star – or Hokuto no Ken to purists – is a real titan in anime and manga history. The original manga by writer Yoshiyuki ‘Buronson' Okamura and artist Tetsuo Hara has inspired numerous anime series, a hyper-violent 1986 movie which became a global cult hit, and more spin-offs and...

Ambition recreation of the anime; Plentiful side content; Satisfying progression system

Terrible enemy AI; Awkward camera; Destiny Talisman system feels pointless

Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise (for PlayStation 4) Preview

The Yakuza series of brawlers is extremely popular in Japan (where it's known as Ryu ga Gotoku), but until recently it hasn't really clicked for American gamers. That changed with Yakuza 0, and since then, Sega has been working overtime translating the most recent Yakuza games for North America. One of those games, Hokuto ga Gotoku, isn't truly part of the Yakuza series, but rather an adaptation of (; hence the combination title), one of the most influential manga series ever. It takes the license, adds Yakuza's gameplay mechanics, and arrives in North America this October as Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise. I demoed this upcoming PlayStation 4 game at E3 2018. Eden: Kamurocho of the Wasteland Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise takes place in Eden, a walled city that serves as a relatively peaceful hub for exploration and activities. There are casinos, bars, and even an arcade, arranged around an arena in the center of the map. It doesn't look like Kamurocho (the prima...

Lost Paradise takes the Fist of the Northstar world and blends it with the Yakuza game formula to create a bloody post-apocalyptic brawler.

Violent, manga-faithful combat; Lots of side activities available

Mechanically feels like a Yakuza game with a Fist of the North Star skin
