I have played every Final Fantasy game sense FF5, and FF13-2 is my 3rd favorite from the series. I love this game not so much for the story itself (like FF6 & FF7) but more for the gameplay and tempo. It use the same battle system as in FF13 for the most part with a few adjustment.

Out of all the 3 Final Fantasy XIII games, X-2 is definitely the best. Playing as Serah and Nole and loved adventuring with them and with Moogle. It's definitely been one of their best for a long time.

Where Final Fantasy XIII faltered, Final Fantasy XIII-2 mostly tidies up. The linearity, a few annoyances with the battle system, restrictions in the Crystarium, and other frustrating aspects of the original game, have all been adjusted for the better in the sequel.

I have been playing this game for about the past month, with the Japanese version of the game. My only other review for GI has also been for FF, the previous FFXIII. I recently passed XIII-2, so I thought I'd put in my two-bits on this game. Just quickly, overall this game is short.

I have such a love/hate relationship with this game. It's great that it's fast-paced, but like everyone else says, it is too fast paced. I would love to chose the abilities I want to use manually, but if you really want to attain a 5 star rating, you are going to rely heavily on the auto-battle.
