Perfect tramping torch. Nice wide low beam for in camp use with bright setting to use on track if necessary. Excellent recessed button press interface to control brightness.

This headlight works really well. Only needs 1 AA battery, and has 3 levels of brightness. Also very light.

Has both great strength of illumination and battery life.

Not heavy and not too bright. This is great for walking and is light enough to wear for long periods. Using an AA battery means it can be swapped out on the run (even in the dark!).
