Far Cry Primal Review

When Far Cry 4 graced my console, I fully expected to unleash chaos in the Himalayan-inspired Kyrat, while mostly enjoying the same old activities I've grown to love in Far Cry 3. I totally did .

Far Cry Primal is, despite being a spin-off from the core series, still very much a Far Cry game; You'll still perform stealthy takedowns, snipe with your bow and arrow, tag enemies before you take over an encampment, hunt animals for their resources and craft new items to continually be a better...

Even though the setting provided a necessary backdrop for the characters and ultimately made the main player character much more believable; I didn't find myself caring too much about the Wenja tribe and their growth; despite it being the game's core mechanic; Both Far Cry predecessors also featured...

Far Cry: Primal feels like one long, optional side mission.

Far Cry Primal

The 'Primal" experience is very different from a typical 'Far Cry', and indeed most shooters in general. Because of the prehistoric setting, these cavepeople have no guns or explosives - their most advanced projectiles are flint-tipped arrows fired from simple wooden bows.

Far Cry Primal review

If only the developers had taken this side of things further. As things stand, Primal's endgame feels like it should be the start of a journey away from a formula that is losing its lustre.

"Interesting idea however not executed as well as anticipated"

Plot: Set in 10000bc, in the land of Oris. The tribe Wenja has been destroyed and dismantled by the Udam another fierce tribe within Oris. Your main quest is to rebuild the Wenja and crush the Udam. In my opinion the plot lacks depth, and detail.

Very visually pleasing; runs smoothly; good concept

Lacks detail and depth; becomes monotonous

I haven't finished the game yet, but I'm enjoying it as least as much as Far Cry 4. If you liked the previous far crys this is a no brainer. Yes the core gameplay is the same, but the world, skills, weapons and characters are fresh and fun.

Far Cry Primal

When a developer makes a game that they are hoping that millions of gamers will fall in with their vision, it's a tough challenge, especially bringing in new gameplay mechanics in an already established franchise but also… paying homage to what came before.

Udam Bro (Far Cry Primal Review)

If you have ever played the Far Cry series then you know how the game goes. End up stuck on an island and for some reason you are the only character who seems to be able to do anything to stop the bad guys and find ways to survive.

Not as bad as I thought

I had my disagreements about buying this game for my child, so I told him to rent it one day first. I watched him play for about an hour and didn't se anything really bad about it, my child is 12 and the game was rated 17+ but I think it should be rated teen the only my problem with the game was too...
