This is the best Far Cry I have played! I really like how it is based in the American wilderness of Montana I feel like that is a great setting. So far I am also loving the story. Because of it being about a cult it gives off a disturbing feeling! I recommend this game to everyone!
After years playing at guerilla warfare in foreign countries, Far Cry now brings the terror home to the U.S. of A. In Far Cry 5 , the despot of the day is Joseph Seed, a hyper-evangelical doomsday preacher who, with his apostolic family, has completely taken over an entire chunk of Montana and...
Far Cry 5 had the potential to say something interesting by setting the game in America, but its murky story and themes do more to taint the game's fantastic and playful open world than to give it purpose and meaning.
This game was all over the place regarding quality. There are some things I really like about Far Cry 5 , and others I just think are awful. If the story had been told in a more linear, coherent way I think it would have been much better.
Compartmentalized mission structure is great for co-op gameplay; Far Cry 5 Arcade allows for technically infinite replayability; Interesting premise and environment
Never feels like you're really impacting the world; Plot is told in such short; random bursts it never draws you in; Tags
Far Cry 5 seems to do everything right. The scenery, the combat, the story, and all the little things in between that make a game memorable and enjoyable. While many may argue that it's simply more of the same from the Far Cry universe and Ubisoft, I see it as an culmination of a series that shows...
Far Cry 5 takes the game's vaunted first-person shooter antics and brings them to a fictional America for the first time in the series.
Beautiful graphics; Relatively smooth gameplay; Co-op available from start of game
Story doesn't really mesh with overall gameplay
We're armed with a rocket launcher as a bear mauls our enemy on a stretch of road, only for a truck to plough into both the bear and our enemy. Above is the thudding sounds of a helicopter that's just about to beat down on us with its machine guns.
Bought after xmas, really great game especially if you have played any of the previous games. Keeps inline with the history of the franchise and style. Hours of entertainment
Ben Allan heads to the wilds of Montana to do a spot of fishing and... AHHHHH!!! TURKEYS!!!
A huge, gorgeous environment - probably the series' best yet; Companions are a lot of fun; A wide variety of vehicles; Co-op and Arcade are enjoyable bonuses; Lots of laughs from gameplay and tucked away in side missions and the world
AI levels possibly appropriate for religious cultists; Story has its moments, but is jarringly delivered, tonally inconsistent, and doesn't seem to know what it is trying to say
