Far Cry 2 is an ambitious title, and though it is not without its rough points, it manages to live up to the lofty goals it sets for itself. Perhaps the most ambitious of these goals is its scope. You are given nearly 50 square kilometers of open landscape to play around in.

I was always a fan of the original far cry game. I have owned this game on both the 360 and PS3 (my 360 broke so bought it for PS3). When the second was released it was a must have for me.

Maybe everyone already knew this, but it only became apparent to me with Far Cry 2. If a game starts out with a long-winded mostly pointless vehicle ride the game is an instant classic. Think about it. Half Life. Half Life 2. Call of Duty 4 (not pointless, but long-winded). All classics.
