Champions of Norrath

Far Cry 2 (PS3) - Review

Ubisoft's sequel Far Cry 2 is an open-ended First Person Shooter set in the vast areas of a fictional and modern east African nation. The nation itself has become a battlefield soaked in blood due to the raging civil war that takes place within its grounds.

Far Cry 2

Far Cry 2 is an ambitious title, and though it is not without its rough points, it manages to live up to the lofty goals it sets for itself. Perhaps the most ambitious of these goals is its scope. You are given nearly 50 square kilometers of open landscape to play around in.

A Diamond In The Rough

When the original Farcry came out, most people were amazed at the quality of the graphics, myself included. I know I was supposed to be shooting the mercenaries but I just wanted to walk around their sandy beaches and swim in the cool blue water.

Far Cry 2 (Xbox 360)

Far Cry 2 is a massive game. I know I didn't get to touch on everything this game has to offer because Far Cry 2 is that big. The story, with all of its characters, will take you between 40 to 70 hours to beat. When was the last time a FPS took this long to beat?

Far Cry 2 Review

Far Cry 2 is a slog for the first few hours of gameplay, but you've got to stick with it because it soon turns into one of the most revolutionary FPS games of the decade. Despite our reservations about some of the ways in which sandbox elements have been integrated into Far Cry 2, it's right up...

Far Cry 2 game review

The Jackal turns out to be a slippery customer, and in order to find him, you'll have to start doing jobs for one of the local militia. However, after gaining their trust with a couple of jobs well done, you're quite within your rights (as a moral vacuum) to suddenly switch allegiances and work for...

Great game for the price

I was always a fan of the original far cry game. I have owned this game on both the 360 and PS3 (my 360 broke so bought it for PS3). When the second was released it was a must have for me.

Maybe everyone already knew this, but it only became apparent to me with Far Cry 2. If a game starts out with a long-winded mostly pointless vehicle ride the game is an instant classic. Think about it. Half Life. Half Life 2. Call of Duty 4 (not pointless, but long-winded). All classics.

Massive map with loads to do; Great; branching storyline; The map editor is great; Looks and sounds fantastic

Some might find the giant map overwhelming; Multiplayer isn't great...
