Fallout New Vegas review

Where do I even begin? Playing Fallout New Vegas has been the most fun I've had in gaming since… well Fallout 3! Yes people may say New Vegas is pretty much the game Fallout 3 should have been, and in all honesty those people may be right.

It's really fun with lots to do and explore; Easy to pick up and just play through; Can be replayed many times in so many different ways.

Full of bugs; Prone to crashing; Frame rates drop sometimes

Fallout: New Vegas Review | Time To Wasteland

I loved Fallout 3 . I clocked up to fifty hours in Bethesda's post-apocalyptic wonderland, so when I heard a sequel was in development, I was excited, to say the least. Excited, but cautious. A new setting, a new adventure and, most unnerving of all, a new team.

Exactly what you'd expect from a Fallout game; Deep customisation; rewarding progression; An excellent story

Plays it safe; Combat is still a chore; The engine is beginning to creak

'Fallout: New Vegas' (PS3)

Two years ago, Bethesda Softworks introduced us to a post-nuclear playground immersive enough to make the apocalypse seem like an eagerly-awaited event. As one of 2008's standout titles,

There may still be a market for 360 gamers, however the transition to current gen platforms makes me no longer want to play the 360 or PS3 simply because I know how outdated newly released games would feel. Ride pretty much confirms my theory.

Fallout: New Vegas – The PS3 Attitude Review

Fallout 3 was one of our favourite games of 2008, and we've been looking forward to Fallout: New Vegas for months, but has Obsidian Entertainment created a worthy sequel to Bethesda's epic post-apocalyptic adventure?

"Well ain't that a kick in the head!"

The scorching Mojave Wasteland is the new setting for the latest of the Fallout series. As I have mentioned in my previous reviews, I have always been a fan of Bethesda's work, and when I heard they were bring out Fallout 3 I wasn't too thrilled. To me it was described as 'Oblivion with guns'.

Incredible graphics and sandbox style gameplay gives the player; unimaginable freedom

Unfortunately the game comes with a great deal of bugs; fortunately the updates fix most of these

unplayable

This has got to be the best and worse game I have bought for PS3. While it was running well the game was great but I cannot agree more with the comments regarding frame rate and freezing. It has got to the point that I am lucky to get 10 minutes jerk ridden play before it freezes.

Good game, not great

I was in love with Fallout 3, so I was really excited for Fallout New Vegas. And New Vegas was good. But not nearly as good as Fallout 3. New Vegas' story is involving, and the choices you make really make an impact on the game. There are three different endings, depending on what you decide to do.

Freezing game

Game starts freezing after few hours of total playing time. It is impossible to continue playing after that, so I don't recommend this to anyone. Read the Bethesda Forums before doing any decisions..

Fallout New Vegas

Good game if you like this type of RPG, although you reach the level cap too quickly, and it is buggy as hell.
