Short but Sweet

A child's life has been irrevocably changed. Will he grow up bitter and twisted from this incident or become a shining example of good? What about neither? Those decisions, and many others, are in the hands of the player. A plethora of choices await those who play out the life of this boy.

Fable: The Lost Chapters

I can't remember the last time I finished a game twice. I may have played through the original Pirates! a couple of times, but other than that possibility, at this point I really can't remember playing all the way through a game more than one time in the past 5 years.

Great; compelling storyline; beautiful graphics; soundtrack; spells and spell casting; humor; character; side-quests

Linear map design; melee combat and stats system too simplistic; some redundant features that could've played a bigger role in the game

Resident Evil 5

Survival horror games and I have had an awkward relationship. I am a fan of the genre but almost purely from a spectator standpoint. I enjoy watching a scary game being played by someone else, kind of like a fan at a sporting event.

Chicken-chaser Goes Forth! As you start your journey through the lands of Albion, you see a young boy day-dreaming. Pretty soon, the player realizes that this boy is the game's actual main character. Through swordfights, brimstone and fire, he will become the legendary hero of the land.

A new take in action RPG's; more than enough character customizayion features; cartoonish graphics; impressive sound

Short duration; rather repetitive gameplay

Fable: The Lost Chapters

When the word got out that Fable, a big hit on the Xbox, was to come out for the PC, most players dismissed it right away. It's no big secret that console-to-PC and vice versa conversions simply don't work. Well what we have here is proof of the opposite.

Fable: The Lost Chapters brings Peter Molyneux's original vision to life in this PC version of the game one full year after it's original release on the Xbox with new quests, areas, weapons and enemies. So how does it differ from the Xbox version and is it really necessary?

ups: beautiful graphics and musical score; great customization features; sweet new additions to gameplay

downs: still a hack and slash; too short; NPC's can get a little repetitive

Fable: The Lost Chapters

Magic is unquestionably valuable in Fable. You'll start off with a simple lightning attack, but you'll be able to spend experience points on more than a dozen other different spells (and upgrades to those spells).

Lively; beautifully envisioned gameworld is fun to explore; Interesting; if slightly shallow; morality system causes your character to evolve; Solid action and role-playing elements; Outstanding presentation makes the game exciting to see and listen to; The Lost Chapters adds some great new quests,...

Main quest is quite short and linear; Combat system can be exploited; thanks to some overpowered spells; Character interaction is shallow

Fable: The Lost Chapters

We were watching… and listening... and waiting. It was E3 2003 and Peter Molyneux's associates were showing (behind closed doors) both B.C. and Fable (aka Project Ego). The former was going to allow Xbox gamers to live the life of a prehistoric caveman, and the latter had become a giant cog in the...

Fable: The Lost Chapters

If you played the Xbox version (2004), then you're well aware of what Fable is about. If you haven't, Fable is an imaginative and unique role-playing game that presents moral choices throughout the course of the story; it's not just about running around the world and killing creatures.

Fable: The Lost Chapters

Fable: The Lost Chapters, an introduction. Fable was one of those games that some people really like and others were disappointed with. Part of the problem was that the finished title was not exactly what people were expecting.
