Fable III Review | Third Time's The Charm?

The time to return to the world of Albion has arrived once again with Lionhead's latest effort. Picking up fifty years after the end of the previous instalment, Fable III puts you in control of the child of the previous Hero of Albion from Fable II , in a time where the Industrial Age has arrived...

The addition of the Sanctuary steamlines the menu process in a well presented way; Fans of the series will enjoy yet another adventure in an evolving Albion; The ability to mix spells is good fun

Bugs plague the game at launch; The repetition of certain aspects will test your patience; The big parts in the somewhat short story may seem a little lacklustre in the end

Fable III Review (360)

The king is dead…long live the King! Welcome back to Albion fellow Traveller! Seems like ages since the wonderful Fable 2, and is if to show this, Fable 3 begins 50 years after Fable 2.

Improves on all niggles from previuos game; excellent production values; well worth the wait

More story based gameplay; so more linear than previous game

Fable III review

Fable was a marvellous game, the gameplay held up, the story was as solid as a brick wall and arguably had the best western designed bad guy in Jack of Blades. Towns and cities were evenly placed and varied, as were collectibles and mini games which offered plenty of extras.

A great story that is better and stronger than Fable II, ending included; Combat is perfect.

Economy system is better but still broken; Game environments seem lacking in content compared to previous outings.

Fable III Review

At times Fable III is quite funny, for example I remember I got my character dressed up as a chicken for the first part which was quite amusing when wielding a hammer during combat.

Fable 3 Reviewed

The Fable series of games' main focus has always been about choice and how the player's choices have repercussions, not just for their character but for the people around them too.

'Fable III' (Xbox 360)

has always aimed to be ambitious. With its world intended to be as malleable as possible, the series has prided itself on hosting simple decisions that lead to far-reaching consequences.

Fable III

A sensational game. A well presented, well acted, well paced and well designed game that should not be overlooked by fans of the series, fans of the genre, or fans of having a good time.

RPG/Adventure More broken promises? was my game of 2008, so I was looking forward to more than any game this year (okay, maybe not quite as much as ). I knew not to expect a massive leap as far as gameplay was concerned due to it using the same engine and it only being two years in the making, but...

Fable III video game review

Fable III transports players back to the magical world of Albion, it has its problems but is a bewitching and regal tale, writes Tom Hoggins.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is not as bad as many gamers have made it out to be. It's by no means the best first person shooter of the year – I wouldn't even shortlist Activision's latest shooter for that accolade when games like Rainbow Six Siege, Battlefield One and Titanfall 2 have also...
