FIFA has been a long-standing franchise and I have many, mostly pleasant memories of most annual instalments since the year 2000. So almost 20 years later I know exactly what I'm getting into as an experienced FIFA player and knowledgeable consumer. I think it fair to compare this FIFA to other console debuts and I'll begin with FIFA 2001. FIFA 2001 for PS2 was a fair leap forward graphically and I still play it to this day. FIFA 21 has far more modes including online and Volta which I feel is not given credit for evolving the game, given all the noise about FIFA 98s indoor mode with fans eager for FIFA to include it as a game mode ever since 1997-98. The PS3 came along and so did FIFA 08 which I never played due to not having the funds to buy the expensive PS3.
