FIFA 20 review

FIFA 20 feels confident. It seems that EA is well aware of their stronghold over the football game market, and there's also a hint that they know the new consoles aren't too far away, either. Ther

Defensive changes are terrific; Pace feels important; Great visuals and audio

FUT concerns; New rules are missing; Career mode still needs attention

FIFA 20 review: VOLTA street football steals the show

It's that time of year again. Across the globe, folks are getting ready to hunker down and avoid direct sunlight for weeks at a time. The yearly FIFA update is upon us. In the space of digital football (that's soccer, for you Americans), there have always been two camps: You're either FIFA or Pro...

VOLTA football is superb fun; Set pieces finally don't suck; All the licenses you can shake a stick at; Immense selection of content; Great soundtrack and stadium sounds

FUT remains pay to win; Some of the faces are a little odd-looking; VOLTA story is too linear

FIFA 20 review - fun football foiled by a stubborn refusal to read the room

I find myself quite cross with FIFA 20. This is a game with meaningful, welcome changes on the pitch. This is a fun football video game made by developers who clearly love football and are well aware of community feedback.

FIFA 20 Review

There have been a lot of changes to FIFA in recent years... at least that's what EA's been telling us on the yearly. No, there really have been some

FIFA 20 review - is the beautiful game back

When it comes to video games based on the beautiful game, two options are always available for fans. Typically, especially in recent years, the choice of which to go for has been dependant on what you want when it comes to a soccer game.

Xbox One Fifa 20 XB1 FIFA 20 review

The restoration (in all but name) of FIFA Street and long-awaited upgrade to career mode finally make FIFA a game worth exploring beyond Ultimate Team

Early cynicisms regarding Volta prove unfounded – five-a-side is fabulous fun; ; Subtle tweaks to Ultimate Team serve longstanding fans and noobs alike; ; The traditional wealth of teams and kits – with the Romanian league added this year

Bye bye Juventus; hello Piemonte Calcio? A superficial blow; but a big one; ; From an eSports standpoint; gameplay still doesn’t feel entirely user-dependent

Xbox One Fifa 20 XB1 FIFA 20 review

This review is based on a digital PS4 code provided by the publisher. FIFA 20 is available now for $59.99 on PS4, XB1, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Volta Football is creative new way to enjoy FIFA; House rules are a much needed addition to friendlies and FUT; Gameplay mechanics are as good as ever

FUT microtransactions still feel predatory; Overall lack in innovation outside of Volta mode

Xbox One Fifa 20 XB1 FIFA 20 review

Whilst FIFA 20 has its fair share of problems, I didn’t expect this different to FIFA 19. It’s simply unfair to compare the two games. FIFA 20 is what its predecessor should have been. It’s a game that rewards great attacking play and patient defending play.

FIFA 20 - Xbox One

Game is totally bugged out. There will come a point in career mode where your player's skill moves will no longer respond. The right stick becomes completely defunct and doesn't with any sort of skill move.
