It looks amazing and I need to get it now . Everyone including me is looking forward for it .

For all that FIFA promises something for every football fan, from the casual observer to the full-kit fanatic, I still find myself wishing that EA Sports would spend a little more time focusing on the basics.

The world of sports video games is a fickle one for developers. It couldn't be any truer when it comes to the ongoing battle for supremacy between the two prominent IPs in world football, FIFA and PES . This year, EA Sports decided that it was time for big changes.

The last two years haven't been brilliant for FIFA fans. In 2014 EA implemented numerous changes to the game, and the result was not entirely positive. Last year, with FIFA 16 , the gameplay was improved, but absurd difficulty levels ruined the solo content.

's new mode ‘The Journey' for the past five hours. Well, at least I think it's 2 a.m. -- I'm far too hooked by the mode's addictive qualities to look at my phone. Alex Hunter's tale is an intriguing one, and my personal mission to achieve glory as a member of the AFC Bournemouth squad has engulfed...

What value is there, though, in having all these different ways of playing, if the playing itself just isn't that enjoyable? That's the question I've had to ask myself as I've sunk hours into The Journey, FUT, career mode, and will doubtless continue to ponder over the coming weeks.

There's no doubt that this is a massive year for FIFA. PES 2016 really pulled it out of the bag, and PES 2017 is even better, so there's the sense that EA Sports decided resting on its laurels wasn't an option. The result?

It seems to be one of EA Sport's most popular titles, yet it continues to disappoint each year. Looking past the new and interesting "The Journey" mode (which ends up lasting not as long as many might have hoped), the game suffers from frustratingly bland career mode options which seem to be left...

isn't one of the entries in the series that changes enough to feel like a must-buy, and if you're happy still playing , then you may well feel justified in holding off on purchasing a new football game until next year.
