This is a great game! If you don't have it get it! Very fun to play! Check some of my gameplay out on YouTube search for Gaming with Mr MONSTER.

Liked the concept but a bit difficult
I bought this game when it was first released. It was great for the first few months but then the community died. Fatal error for a multiplayer only game to have small pool of players. If you don't believe me check Steam's player stats. Currently averaging about 500 players.
When I first looked at Evolve I was very interested in the concept. I mean come on, who doesn't want to be a monster that chases hunters. When you watch the trailer you automatically want to buy the game and start wasting your life playing it. After the trailer the game takes a nose dive.
Gets really boring really fast, not worth the purchase. I regret this so much, I got it as a preorder with all the hype. Never have I been so wrong...
Beautiful as Evolve is, looks alone can't make a game. The skeleton of a better game is visible just beneath the surface, but numerous glaring imbalances and questionable design choices ensure that there's sadly little meat left on these bones.
I bought this awhile back and I still play it, acourse it's not on and on playing but I don't get bored while I play it.
As someone who reviews games, certain games can pose a much more substantial challenge to review than others. For example, you could love a game that you know the majority of people won't like or perhaps you dislike a game that you think others will like.
+ Nice diversity of characters and abilities, + Rewarding upgrade system, though a bit tedious, + Good amount of maps at launch, + Playing with friends is a lot of fun.; + Ability to create custom games/offline
- Overly repetitive combat; - Lack of story; - Connectivity issues at launch; - ...playing alone? Not so much; - Day 1 DLC worth 2x the games launch price
A great idea in theory, but in practise the novelty wears out extremely quickly, with a serious lack of variety in game modes, maps, and tactics.
Impressive variety in character and monster abilities, all of which seem well balanced; When you get a good match going, with experienced players, there's nothing quite like it
A lack of variety in tactics, and game mode and map diversity, means the action gets very repetitive very quickly; Flawed third person controls and hunter tracking
Evolve was plagued by controversy long before it even released, thanks to some pre-order packages and DLC plans that were, depending on your point of view, either extremely poorly thought out or extremely cynical.
